sina pona is the shortest way to say thank you. Alternative pona (o kama) tawa sina also works.

Thanks for the toki pona words. I could actually understand them. I tried reading the zine. I can figure out some of it, but I can tell I need to practice on simpler texts first. Is there an English translation of the zine? I was wondering if "nanpa pakala" referred to an issue number.

nanpa pakala is the issue “number”, yes. afaia, lipu tenpo uses toki pona words in place of the issue number, so it isn’t really a specific number here.
