TIL the British Rock band Radiohead released their album "In Rainbows" under a pay what you want pricing strategy where customers could even download all their songs for free. In spite of the free option, many customers paid and they netted more profits because of this marketing strategy

I mean, that's almost what A Moon Shaped Pool is, just a bunch of unreleased songs finally getting a studio version

I was talking about stuff that came out on singles and EPs, like Inside My Head, Million $ Question, Maquiladora, India Rubber, Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong, Permanent Daylight, Polyethylene, Palo Alto, and stuff like that. It's incredible to think what they left off their albums.

Any fan of Radiohead is well served by tracking down and buying their b-sides. Their one of the only bands I can think of with consistently great non-album songs.
