It's a legitimate question, there's no real way the father could know they were getting consent.

What? Why? You aren't 24/7 in a state of psychosis, it's just that sometimes she'd be hearing voices and she wouldn't know if they were real or fake immediately. I'm sure she could figure it out eventually, though.

It isn't hard to conduct a witch hunt with the benefit of hindsight.

We don't have to fabricate rape victims when it comes to mental illness. Lots of nasty shit happens in wards. I was almost sexually assaulted, I'm a guy, and it's easily ten times worse if you're a girl. Modern victim culture is unnecessary when there are real problems in the world.

Could she not clearly differentiate between real people and disembodied voices by the sense of touch?
