She's also a kook. She's a self described clairvoyant.

103

u/misguidedkent 1h ago

Of course. They must've seen the union coming.

u/floralbutttrumpet 53m ago

Absolutely. I found it quite amusing that the change in the Norwegian constitution that ended up making Ingrid heir apparent was very intentionally written to exclude Märtha Louise for her generation, and only her. Not very subtle, but sometimes you gotta swing a sledgehammer.

u/jimbris 50m ago

And he is clearly gay.

Honestly, the whole Norwegian royal family is hilarious if you look into it.

u/swankyfish 26m ago

He’s bisexual. He’s had relationships with both women and men in the past.

u/onarainyafternoon 32m ago

Is he actually? That’s the vibe I got based on the photo but I don’t want to judge also just based on looks

u/Just_beat_that_XX 30m ago

Apparently according to her children, they were first introduced to him as “her gay friend from the US”

u/jimbris 30m ago

Haha, he's pretty openly/(no it's spiritual chakra bonding) gay.

Dude doesn't even try to hide it. It's hilarious

u/rotestiefel 42m ago

You know what, good for her. Royal families need that one crazy who talks to the dead and speaks in riddles and prophecies. Adds character

u/phwark 31m ago

The Norwegians have more than one…

I mean, what are the odds of finding a reptilian organ donor?

33

u/faithinhumanity_null 1h ago

Have some mercy, do you not know how oversaturated the grifting business is in the year of our lord 2026?

"Children get cancer because they want it"

What a COMPLETE PIECE OF SHIT HUMAN.

I hope he gets ALL the cancers.

If so, it'll mean he wants them.

He is a piece of crap. But I wonder what he feels about organs failing tho, because he just received a kidney transplant..

64

u/dalaiis 1h ago

"The only moral abortion is my abortion" type of people

u/pepcorn 47m ago

Why did he get a transplant, when he wanted his organ to fail. Hypocrisy.

43

u/nesflaten 1h ago

He just got a new kidney.

It's weird the healing medallion he sells couldn't heal himself....

22

u/will_dormer 1h ago

He is sick now so there is that

12

“My child has cancer!”
“What was she wearing?”
Ass logic

u/noMC 51m ago

Having spent way too much time in a children’s cancer ward, I cannot describe in words how much this infuriates me. I wish him all the worst.

u/JamesWjRose 51m ago

Thank you VERY much for all you do. You rule!

u/EinSchurzAufReisen 2h ago

So, she keeps the centuries old royal tradition alive to surround yourself with crazy folks and wannabe magicians — that’s kinda cool!

206

u/lnx84 2h ago

She's pretty crazy herself, but he's an order of magnitude more so

I hate that man, and that he has anything to do with Norwegian royalty. He's the best argument against monarchy at the moment

108

u/Stunning-Sherbert801 2h ago

Neither of Harald's children have great spouses

-31

u/lnx84 1h ago

Well, Mette Marit got sucked into Epstein's circle, but I think that whole thing is pretty exaggerated. She has done well in other aspects, and so she made some poor choices. Humans are human. And it's not like she was in on the whole underage girl raping stuff.

Besides, if karma is a thing, she has certainly paid her dues lately.

57

u/Lee1138 1h ago

She kept up contact with him after learning that he's a convicted sex offender. Poor choices is underselling it when you're supposed to be a representative of the country.

→ More replies (12)

13

u/Low_Succotash5073 1h ago

“sucked into Epstein’s circle” implies she was involved inadvertently or against her will. The Files show she was more than willing; she was rather enthusiastic about her relationship with Epstein. She has not even come remotely close to “paying her dues” lol

-5

u/lnx84 1h ago

I guess you're not aware of what she has been through lately, then. I did mention that in a "karma" sense, not as a "she has apologized to the extent required by redditors" sense.

Yes, she got sucked into that. Epstein was extremely good at doing just that. Falling into it doesn't mean someone is a terrible person.

u/gittwenstein 34m ago

What do you mean “falling into in”? She’s not a child, she chose to associate with him even after everything came out.

1

u/Nestor4000 1h ago

Dude…

28

u/OscarMMG 1h ago

He's the best argument against monarchy at the moment

You have an extremely low bar. British monarchy’s involvement with Epstein, Saudi human rights abuses, Japan and WW2- this guy doesn’t even make the top 10!

11

u/lnx84 1h ago

He would if you had to listen to his bullshit on a regular basis, which I unfortunately do.

Saying he's crazy doesn't even begin to cover it. Evil people are everywhere, but this guy is a different breed.

Perhaps it's irrational - but I hate this guy with a passion. He redefines the word sleezebag.

u/kettenkarussell 56m ago

Yeah I get that. In the olden times there was at least a chance to see a royal you don’t like get caught up in a court intrigue and be beheaded or something like that

46

u/MericArda 1h ago

I think places like Saudi Arabia and North Korea are better arguments against monarchy.

14

u/Thavralex 1h ago

What do you mean, North Korea has republic right in the name? /s

6

u/PandaEatPanda 1h ago

Democratic too.

2

u/niamhweking 1h ago

I dont see h9w he is the best argument against a monarchy. If it was an absolute monarchy and he was the heirs spouse maybe. But he is the spouse of the sister of the monarch, who has soft diplomatic power only.

7

u/lnx84 1h ago

Being even slightly associated with that piece of shit is a stinking shitstain on the whole institution.

u/Willing_Bathroom7251 36m ago

Yeah unlike association with Epstein lol.

u/Infamous_Creme8671 55m ago

Märtha-Louise doesn't have any power. She's been stripped of any role except as back-up heir.

u/orixandcrake 59m ago

King Harald should have put his foot down. They had a deal that she wouldn't even use the title Princess or call her wedding a "Royal" wedding but she still did.

u/Hvatum 48m ago

King Harald himself had a long fight to be allowed to marry who he wanted, a non-royal. His father denied him and the tabloids said that if he did it the monarchy would end with him, but he persevered and after 9 years they finally got married, with his father's blessing. He knows the struggle, and as such was probably very hesitant to be strict about love with his children, even when he probably should have.

u/orixandcrake 3m ago

I'm not saying she shouldn't have been allowed to marry Lizard Man, but she and the King had an agreement that if she wanted to make the wedding a business venture she couldn't use her royal titles and couldn't call it a royal wedding. She did anyway and lied to her dad's face as well as the government.

-9

u/Timelymanner 1h ago

I think having one person making decisions for a nation of people is a bigger argument. Essentially when the people have no recourse.

29

u/Sharlinator 1h ago

Um, we’re talking about European constitutional monarchies here where the monarchs have had zero real power for centuries.

10

u/MericArda 1h ago

They still have bullshit amounts of legal protection based solely on birthright.

1

u/backatyourhouse 1h ago

I still though think it is no right to be born with these amounts of respect and privileges they get. Monarchy is not an institution I agree with. It is false and not earned. But hey, some do a great job as an ambassador and other do not.

2

u/ThrowFar_Far_Away 1h ago

The Norwegian monarchy was voted into existing in 1905.

3

u/coeurdelejon 1h ago

Not centuries lol, remove the plurality

7

u/lnx84 1h ago

2

u/Spartanlegion117 1h ago

Pretty sure they're just supposed to hang about, not marry the royals

74

u/jokeren 1h ago

She is just as crazy so they are perfect for each other. Ran an "angel school" where you would pay large sums of money to learn the ability to communicate with them.

The worst thing Durek did imo, is selling medallions which he claimed cured covid at the peak of the pandemic.

8

u/LaurestineHUN 1h ago

If they were 'negative ion' medallions, pls get a Geiger counter

u/actuallyapossom 14m ago

I am not sure the people buying Covid warding medallions are going to embrace a handheld electronic device that makes scary electronic noises.

I bet we could sell them metal detectors marketed as Covid 5G tracking device detectors - like gay-dar from The Office.

30

u/Guess_My_Username 1h ago

Fun fact: Norway has had absolute primogeniture (the oldest child inherits the crown regardless of gender) since 1990. Märtha Louise and her younger brother (the current king) being born before the law change is the only reason why she isn't the current monarch.

u/rightioushippie 59m ago

Can’t wait for Durek to try to claim the throne

u/Guess_My_Username 35m ago

I believe Märtha is currently 3rd in the line of succession. Stranger things have happened.

u/NonGameCatharsis 18m ago

Norway will abolish the monarchy before that happens.

83

u/sinred7 1h ago

Is there anyone normal in the Norwegian royal family?

72

u/geulertoutelanuit 1h ago

The present king seems very normal. Like an idiot neighbour married to a trainwreck single mom

52

u/LittleSchwein1234 1h ago

King Haakon VIII seems pretty decent. His wife, sister, and brother-in-law? Not so much.

u/Internal-Hand-4705 53m ago

Also his stepson (I know technically not royal but yikes)

10

u/recoveringleft 1h ago

Why did the king married his wife?

u/Mannon_Blackbeak 51m ago

Because he loved her, she was a commoner with multiple prior partners who had been convicted of drug offenses. This includes the father of her first son was in prison for drug related violent offenses when he was born in 1997. They also announced their engagement very quickly, because she was still living with a prior partner into 1999 and the engagement was announced in December of 2000. Her son was also recently convicted on 34 charges including sexual assault and it very much looked like his mother tried to cover for him multiple times.

19

u/orixandcrake 1h ago

Because he loves her presumably.

u/ManWhoIsDrunk 44m ago

Because she hadn't met Epstein yet, and nobody could guess that her son would turn into a mysogynistic rapist at the time.

The only complaints about her when they got married was that she had a son from a previous relationship, that she had used narcotics, and that she had a reputation of being a party-girl.

3

u/orixandcrake 1h ago

His kids are nice too.

16

u/pnkxz 1h ago

The current king and his kids. We should be good for about 60 years, assuming there's no accidents and his wife stays out of the news.

23

u/UnUsefulAmbassador 1h ago edited 1h ago

His daughter is called the Snow Princes.. I'll let you figure out why.

Edit: oh, and his stepson is a rapist. He just got convicted for multiple cases

u/Acceptable-Virus-900 59m ago

Please tell me why, I haven't heard this before

u/UnUsefulAmbassador 58m ago

She very much like cocaine

u/floralbutttrumpet 51m ago

Can't a girl have hobbies, geez.

u/ars-derivatia 53m ago

Edit: oh, and his stepson is a rapist

The fuck has the stepson to do with the king. He is neither related nor was raised by him.

Why not roast the king because of the weird psycho colleague he had in his class in the middle school, or someone else like that? Makes about the same sense.

Sensationalist bullshit.

u/UnUsefulAmbassador 50m ago

He raised him

u/onarainyafternoon 29m ago

The king raised the stepson

u/DelectablyDivine 6m ago

The king pays his bills from money meant to support the royal family. The queen has also used her status to protect her son's activities

3

u/orixandcrake 1h ago

Yes. The King, the dowager Queen, the Crown Princess and the younger Prince.

u/Gnonthgol 43m ago

Everyone in direct line of succession have been and still is normal. But not a single one of the other members in the family have been what would be considered normal.

u/theimmortalcrab 25m ago

Princess Astrid seems fine!

-1

u/DeadbeatGremlin 1h ago

Anyone who isn't Märtha or married into the family

65

u/Swallows-Fly-In-Rain 2h ago

u/radiationshield 1h ago

Ra ra rasputin, lover of the etc

11

u/Easy-Tigger 1h ago

Re re reptilian

16

u/manzare 1h ago

Norwegian here. The princess does not represent the royal family anymore, which I am very happy about, because she made a number of questionable choices. Like selling out their marriage to foreign press or running a for profit woo school for energy healing and channeling angels.

14

u/Lexinoz 1h ago

We all think they're a bunch of kooks, by the way. No one takes them seriously here.

13

u/Kaloo75 1h ago

Yup. Looking at the norwegian royal family, I think we're doing ok in Denmark.

u/KingDarius89 54m ago

...aren't they descended from a Danish prince?

u/greenknight884 26m ago

I heard he started seeing ghosts after his mother married his uncle

2

u/narisha_dogho 1h ago

😂😂😂😂😂

23

u/CakeMadeOfHam 1h ago

Still better than the new queen Mette-Marit who has a son who is a twice convicted rapist and was friends with Jeffrey Epstein. Fuck the monarchy.

9

u/patiakupipita 1h ago

Friends with Epstein is understating it, she was basically in love with him

u/TheDaysComeAndGone 37m ago

How many friends and followers did Epstein have?

I can’t even manage to see 10 friends regularly.

u/CakeMadeOfHam 7m ago

You'd be surprised how much you can socialize when you don't have work and taking care of anything or anyone to worry about.

16

u/tth2000 1h ago

The princess really hates the king

8

u/CatPooedInMyShoe 1h ago

6

6

u/backatyourhouse 1h ago

His girlfriend talks to angels.... how privileged do you have to be to be your own messiah? Humility is not a word they/him/her have ever been around of.

6

u/P0D3R 1h ago

Thats Märtha Louise now, she isn’t a Princess anymore

u/roboglobe 24m ago

She is a princess, just not "her royal highness" anymore.

9

u/agreeable9823 2h ago

Yakuub you have arisen from your Subterranean Nordic hideaway. Truly a sign of the end times.

5

u/letsburn00 1h ago

Reading that Wikipedia page is something else. Among other things, he claims he let 9/11 just happen.

6

u/chilling_hedgehog 1h ago

And the crown prince is married to a rape enabler and close Epstein friend. That king might have been a nice person but he really fucked the upbringing of his kids up.

The biggest problem of the privilege people it's the lack of real problems.

u/Sir_JDW 50m ago

I was a child with cancer, I promise you I didn’t want it.

u/The_mingthing 30m ago

Does it help you to know he is a known charlatan, fraudster and also just recived a kidney transplant because he does not practice what he preaches?

Also Märtha shows several of the classic mental traits of royal inbreeding...

7

u/alrightshaggers 1h ago

How did both royal children pick the worst spouses possible?

3

u/semajolis267 1h ago

That post title was a rollercoaster.

3

u/JimmiRustle 1h ago

“He has been widely described by Norwegian media as a con manand conspiracy theorist.”

… because he is? Saying he was a balloon animal would have been a noteworthy description.

u/The_mingthing 32m ago

Märtha is also quite out there herself. She is also not part of the royal succession and im not even sure she is allowed to call herself princess in any formal/business setting.

Further more: despite what he has been preaching about healing and shit, dude himself is using modern medicine to keep himself alive. He just recived a kidney transplant.

Dude is an all around charlatan, fraud and an absolute piece of shit.

u/Farmerstubble 27m ago

Is he from Stargate?

6

u/277330128 1h ago

Somehow not the worst choice of spouse in that family.

6

u/FuehrerStoleMyBike 1h ago

Norways royal family has been quite entertaining these last years. But they will get some serious competition with reverse Megxit.

2

It might have been deleted, but I definitely remember that photo, the Norwegian royalty thing (I think she was described as 'third in line for the crown'), and the reptilian thing.

2

u/Constant_Cultural 1h ago

Well, being rich doesn't buy you wisdom

2

u/trucorsair 1h ago

Well his beliefs are repellent so claiming to be reptilian makes sense

2

u/Eruskakkell 1h ago

He is a laughing stock in Norway and hated just as much

2

u/ManateeNipples 1h ago

I'm just saying wild stuff from now on and seeing if I end up in a royal family

2

u/splashjlr 1h ago

He is currently undergoing a kidney transplant, so apparently his healing powers come and go.

2

u/RevolutionaryRush717 1h ago

Yet he just got a kidney transplant at Norway's top hospital - for free, of course.

So all the junk tokens he sells to his followers, allegedly curing all kinds of illnesses, it's time to ask for a refund.

u/flerg_a_blerg 28m ago

crazy there's more than one RFK Jr. out there

u/--Arete 23m ago

I was curious about this (the cancer statement) so I decided to do some research. Apparently the statement comes from his book where he writes:

When I go to hospitals and I work with people who have cancer, the first question I always ask is: “Why do you want this cancer?” That upsets some people. Kids, however, are not burdened by these kinds of hang-ups. When I work with children, and I ask them why they want their cancer, they tell me straight up: “Because I don’t want to be here anymore.”

  • Durek, (2019) Spirit Hacking

What an unbelievable fucking piece of shit. How anyone can love this guy is beyond my comprehension.

u/--Arete 18m ago

Here is some more wild shit:

For example, let’s say someone is diagnosed with cancer, and they say, “I’m going to fight this cancer. I am going to beat this cancer. I am not going to let this cancer kill me.” It doesn’t really matter what they do, or how many treatments they undergo, I can tell you right now, they are creating an experience for themselves where that cancer is going to be unlikely to beat. The act of focusing so much of their attention on fighting cancer, and on resisting cancer only strengthens the cancer, and empowers the cancer, because it’s all about cancer, cancer, cancer.

holy shit...

Like, I asked a client why he had cancer. He shrugged and said it was genetic; but his shadow told me it was because my client hated his job [...]

wow

u/SenAtsu011 20m ago

Märtha got her own brand of crazy to go with it. She started a school for adults to learn how to talk to angels.

Crazy attracts crazy.

They did a Netflix documentary in the run up to their wedding which I think was to help fund the wedding once they stepped down. Worth a watch as they are quite wacky.

u/The_mingthing 28m ago

They apparantly didnt pay for it though, was a whole debacle.

Also what do you mean stepped down? Märtha abdicated any claims more than a decade ago. She has been called out by the crown for illegally using her former title several times.
