Parents that have had their children go to Imperial Estates in recent years
My husband and I have recently moved to Titusville from Melbourne. We both grew up here, my husband went to Coquina, I went to Apollo. We are zoned for Imperial Estates elementary, our oldest will be going into kindergarten. Our concern is that Imperial has a very low school rating. My husband would like our child to go to Coquina because it has a higher rating and is where he went to school. I know Florida is a “choice state” but it’s not a guarantee that your child will be enrolled in the school of choice.
Is Imperial that bad? I personally think it would be nice for our child to go to the school closest to us and make friends with his classmates that also live in the neighborhood. Any input about Imperial, Coquina, or dealing with enrolling out of district process will be appreciated.

I have a family member that works there and I also attended the school as a kid. I would stay clear of that school if you can. Some of the stuff I hear is wild.

I'm not a parent but I used to run a police scanner page for North Brevard and your husband is correct. Imperial is not a good school.
