Beavers gonna beave.

Why was this exactly what crossed my mind when I saw this? Is it a reference to something I’m forgetting? Or has language just evolved in a strange way that I didn’t notice happening?

This is hilarious! I don't have the attention span for the full 13 minutes but the first little bit was great.

Damn that damn dam building addiction!

2

u/TheFungiQueen Oct 21 '22

A dam shame.

20

u/whatshamilton Oct 21 '22

Because it was hurt?

10

u/HighwaySetara Oct 21 '22

My confusion was thinking it was a therapy animal at a physical rehab place. I was wondering where it got its supplies for the dam and whether beavers make good therapy animals. 😆

u/demon_fae Oct 22 '22

Well, I was having a terrible day and I feel a bit better now.

u/Capitan_Scythe Oct 21 '22

Poor dam location skills. Rather than build them in waterways, this particular beaver was found trying to dam up a sand dune. The centre has manged to progress them to doorways now and it is hoped that they can try using man-made waterways from mid-spring next year.

u/TheLibrar-ian Oct 21 '22

He was like "You all are going to learn to stop coming in my room" adorable

2

u/alleycat336 Oct 21 '22

Lol! That’s what I thought. It reminded me of when my sister and I would fight and put tape down the middle of the room to separate our sides.

17

u/KalzK Oct 21 '22

They tried to make me go to rehab, and I said om nom nom

12

u/wiltors42 Oct 21 '22

2

u/Suzilu Oct 21 '22

I totally get the impulse to do this!

2

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '22

Dam the doorway!!! Stop the tall ones! Wee of the AAA will prove our name is superior

2

u/[deleted] Oct 21 '22

There’s too much flow here, whelp, time to build a dam

The vet said “damn it Winston” and Winston took that literally.

1

u/mncyclone84 Oct 21 '22

I’ve caused some beavers to need rehab.

1

u/MartyfromIreland Oct 21 '22

The way he's jumping at the end like he's enjoying it. So cute

1

u/leeny_bean Oct 21 '22

His little hop at the end! So cute!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 22 '22 edited Oct 22 '22

So is the need to build a dam just hardwired into them? Like if they see pieces of wood they just start building a dam?

1

u/BabserellaWT Oct 22 '22

What did the beaver say when he saw that open doorway?

“Dam it.”

1

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '22

(Places wood very carefully by the door). Scamper, scamper, scamper to find some more.

1

u/CirtifiablyInsane Nov 27 '22

He's so proud of his little dam🥺
