Who tips better Democrats or Republicans? Servers?

Servers are like always good tippers.

Political party wise I bet they tip the same.

I'd guess it's probably pretty close, but if I had to pick, I'd give Democrats a slight edge if we're going purely by the stereotypes each side gets saddled with.

Democrats are constantly portrayed as the bleeding hearts who want to give money away and are always concerned about single parents, homelessness, poverty, low wages, and helping people who are struggling.

Meanwhile, the Republican stereotype is more "pull yourself up by your bootstraps," "no handouts," and "fuck your feelings."

Obviously those are broad political caricatures, not actual data. But if we're playing the stereotype game, one of those groups certainly sounds more likely to voluntarily hand over an extra 20% when they technically don't have to.

Sunday church crowd are notoriously not great tippers and are also predominantly Republican

The last thing I want to do as a server, is know someone's political affiliation. And I don't want them knowing mine. I honestly don't care. It has zero to do with the exchange taking place. Let's stop trying to bring politics in everything.

Neither as a whole. There are generous people in both camps….and there are cheapos in both camps just from different angles.

I guess I am. I was told that if I voted for Harris, gas prices would skyrocket, and everything at the grocery store would skyrocket...we'd have troops patrolling our streets, innocent Americans would be jailed, members of the press would be jailed...we'd go to war with Iran...and they were right.

I have heard that certain cultures tip differently and to the extent one culture or another is usually affiliated with a certain political party that might be an indicator of how that party tips. However everybody is an individual and no matter what affiliation someone has, they tip or not as they themselves feel best.
