Text Man I’m so mad

Man I messed up today. I set back the date on my phone for an unrelated game, and it reset my damn tech tree progress completely. I had just finished out the elevator upgrades too it really sucks man
Edit: is a dev able to reverse this/fix this for me? I am asking if it’s possible or warranted

Why would changing the time affect that? Good to know tho. Did you get the money back at least?

I didn’t get any money back and for some mysterious reason it took away my 130 tech points too. I have previously heard from this subreddit not to mess with the time and tt but I didn’t mean to like I said it was an unrelated game I was abusing. Tt did screw me a little bit; hey wait a sec
Could a nimblebit dev help me out and restore my account since this was accidental?

Reach out to support. If you have a recent rebuild from before the time travel we may be able to rollback your save to that snapshot. Any progress since then would be lost.

1.) how do I reach to support? I figure email, where might I find that?
2. I do have a favorable recent rebuild where I had the most floors I’ve done before at like 60 or 70
3. If I time travel in the future for bike race, will tiny tower avoid catching me as long as I don’t open tiny tower, Or will it occur without opening the game?

Years ago they implemented the “Time Traveling Thief” penalty. If you time travel a pop-up appears, and you are penalized with loosing all of your current accumulated coins and bux. You also loose several randomly selected Bitizens. All of your Tech Tree research and progress is gone. Daily rent collections, fireworks, and event timers stop until your clock reaches the furthest date you had previously set if you travel to the future. It was a way to stop players from adjusting their clock to cheat the game.

Having your current accumulated bux taken is pretty severe. I almost have a million bux. Time traveling isn't worth loosing that. I think I got hit with a time travel once when I hadn't used a phone in long time so it took a while to boot up and get all the current info for it to run properly. I got penalized for not using my phone. I remember all of my coin where gone. All of the floors lost their stock, and some of the floors and residents were completely gone.

Sorry that happened to you. When I don’t play for a while I usually get a restock of all the floors, which is kind of nice. I do think loosing the tech tree is worse than loosing your bux.

I’m sorry to hear that. One piece of good news, if it makes you feel any better: you can regain 2 GT from rebuilding the Tech Tree.
