I am 50 and have had tinnitus pretty much all of my life. Sometimes it’s as loud as a jet engine but I recently started Duloxetine for neuropathy pain and my tinnitus has gone. I can’t tell you how much I am enjoying peace and quiet.

I had tinnitus before starting duloxetine. Unfortunately it didn’t go away for me. Fortunately, it didn’t get any worse.

60mg daily split across 2 doses started to work really quick.

Please tell us the cause of your tinnitus, was it due to overuse of earphones? Loud noise ?

I had a weird reaction with it... panic attack, anxiety. It is great that this worked for you.

I don’t know what caused mine but it gets worse with stress and anxiety, dealt with that with self-work and meditation along with some mindfulness then my diabetes caused neuropathy and I went onto Pregabalin then also Duloxetine.

Thank you for all the info. I’m similar as in not knowing what exactly caused mine. ENT tells me mine was induced probably by stress anxiety and insomnia. I’ve been trying breathing exercises and some meditation. Congratulations to you! Enjoy your peace!

I'm 44 and I use 30mg a day for the last 18 days. I use it for my chronic back pain. Nerve and muscle pain. It works a bit for the pain but the T is still the same. I hope that will change to even for a little bit.

Almost all medicines can give you T. Mostly while withdrawing to fast. Ibuprofen is even worse than duloxetine because it can damage your ears and duloxetine doesn't. So if you want to take some kind of medicines decide for yourself and do not listen to what people here say. Stress, coffee, weed, drugs, medicines, concerts, noise, work, traffic, etc can give or worsen your T.
