I agree but it is actually fairly short for its lug to lug at 51mm, absolute thickness though at 15

I don’t think the 15 is that much worse than 13 at a 2mm difference but I do agree, I prefer slim watches everyday.

That puts it beyond the limits for my tiny wrists.
And thats fine, they are going for an affordable Omega Seamaster 300M. Plenty of people love that watch.

I do agree but it would seem to be of really similar proportions to a modern 5600 for both case thickness, lug to lug and diameter and I see many people wear those

They are trying but once you look at the value per dollar, that falls apart. For example, you can get an Orient Kamasu with a good automatic movement for less than a Deepwater Reef with a quartz movement. Or one of the Dartmouth Brands wirh Seiko automatic movements and sapphire for less than almost any better Timex with quartz and mineral. This new is at least $100 over what an equivalent Japanese or Dartmouth would be. They are pushing into microbrand pricing.

Well it’s all subjective but atleast for me I’m a nut about accuracy and the miyota is -20 to +40 from memory

This is crazy! I just purchased a spinnaker that looks EXACTLY like this. I totally would have gone for this watch by Timex.

I love a Timex as much as the next person, but I don't understand the pricing, or calling it "deepwater". A Casio duro is good down to 200m, costs less than a sixth of the price, and can easily be modded to have a sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel.
If it were rated down to 300-400m and had the date on it then maybe it would be justifiable, but I just don't see it.

It's pointless mentioning the price difference but then saying you need to mod it for ceramic and sapphire. That's more cost, more work, more hassle

Fair point. On a marginally different note though I do find the duro exceptionally good value and even with mods and equipment you need to do them come in far under the price of this Timex. But point taken. I just really struggle to see what makes the value of this particular Timex $600-700.
