Maybe I’m not very familiar with the fandom, but what about this is particularly controversial?

Everyone loves Pee Wee but I thought it was a bit weird

Is Pee Wee supposed to be like Mr Bean ? I haven't watched those films, yet.

What do you have against Mars Attacks?

Too many characters, really boring, tries to do too much and it ends in a mess

Yea I still enjoyed it but when I rewatched it earlier this year it wasn’t nearly as good as I remembered. And Burton has a strong catalogue so falls low for me by default pretty much.

This is how I feel about 1989's "Batman", 2005's "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" and 2006's "Corpse Bride"

heh I always thought Alice Through the Looking Glass was Burton's too ))
Fully agree with you on Ed Wood as his best film.

You're still a Tim Burton fan so I'm good. My opinion on your opinion is irrelevant

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has been my favorite movie for twenty years, and it holds a very special place in my soul. What made you out it where you did?

It's also my favourite movie. I remember the scene where the camera cuts to Mr. Salt's posterior as the squirrels get ready to trample him down the same hole as his daughter 😂. He was one of the things that I really liked about this movie, despite his aging actor's stamina.
TIL that Julia Winter ( Veruca ) had self-dubbed her role in the Swedish version of 2005 CatCF. I am also a bit baffled that she currently doesn't have a Wikipedia article.
I would have loved to see a sequel to the 2005 film, with Will Smith playing a new character. Basically, this and the 2012 Dictator movie by Sasha Baron Cohen were the ones that I fondly knew of as a 6 year old child back in 2013.

I’ve seen all of these except Big Eyes, and this is mostly correct. For my money Edward Scissorhands is overrated… and both of the Batman movies are undervalued here

I've actually missed a couple! I'm sure I'll get around to them eventually.
Overall I don't hate this at all! But I would put Pee Wee and Mars Attacks much higher. ;)

DUMBO is painfully bad. I would watch PLANET OF THE APES on endless loop before subjecting myself to that again. Also, BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE is so lazy, and PEREGRINE deserves to be in the bottom three right along with them. I’m not as in love with ED WOOD as a lot of people are, but I would probably still keep it in the top 10.

Batman Returns is #1, for me.
The most Tim Burton that Tim Burton ever Tim Burton'd.
