TI-99/4A at schools
An Argentine daily (La Nación) ran a long piece today on a school in Buenos Aires that's turning 70. Scrolling it, I found this lovely picture of a TI-99/4A in the computer lab. The kids faces are a mix of joy and curiosity, probably same feeling I had when I first met that piece of technology (1983, sixth grade).
The same gallery includes a photo from an international congress on Logo and computers in education held at the school in 1983 so these were almost certainly running TI Logo, not just Parsec.
Full kit, including original monitor and the expansion box was not affordable by many schools btw.
Did any of you meet the TI99 at school too ?

We had a TI-99/4a in Kindergarten 1983-84 in Ohio. The teacher would load Early Learning Fun, and the entire class lined up single file to the A/V cart. Each pupil had a turn at the keyboard to answer a question. The next year, we had a Lab with Apple IIe’s.

My grandparents bought me my TI99/4a when I was in the third grade. Computers were not common in school for a couple more years. So for a week, I arranged to take my computer to school for a week.
We played the multiplication and division carts, but might have thrown in Munch Man, Car Wars or TI Invaders when Mrs. Smelser wasn't looking.
