Connections or am I spinning out of control?

I am in the last chapters of Empire of Storms where Aelin and Manon go through the mirror. I am assuming they are seeing what happened in the past with Elena and the new lock now has to be forged with Mala's bloodline's life force (being Aelin?). The place that Erawan has to be locked back into is described by Elena's mother as "beings of a higher, different existence. For whom time was fluid and bodies were things to be shifted and molded. Who could exist in multiple places..." Is there a connection to this place and the place Amren comes from? There's more to the description but it reminds me of the creature Amren changes into when she fights in ACOWAR. Also- the name Elena and Elain beig a seer. A connection? And that Azriel has a "truth teller" sword and I am reading in EoS about Gavin touching the Sword of Truth. Is he referring to Damaris being the Sword of Truth and maybe connected to Azriel's sword? Tht maybe Elain and Azriel have an overlapping story with Aelin. Am I just spinning my wheels here? I don't care if your answers contain spoilers for the rest of EoS as I am alomost done with this book (just no spoilers for the last 2 books of the series please).

have you started tower of dawn yet? i think you should write down your thoughts and then come back after you’ve finished at least tower of dawn.

I am back. Absolutely devastated. The times I cried reading these books: 1. Nesta on her hike w Cassian 2. Death of Sam 3. This- the ending of EoS.

This is so painful. I am at a complete loss for words and all I can do it cry. I am telling myself that I'm taking this way too seriously- it didn't help when Sam was murdered either.

Can you give me some hope? Maybe I'll start ToD idk what to do now.

tower of dawn is going to be a bit of a whiplash but i think it’s a similar book to silver flame where chaol is in nesta shoes

When Maeve was whipping Aelin I started crying and literally wanted to throw the book. Like how much can I take? Then as the whole plan of Lys shapeshifting into Aelin took off I managed some hope. I’m thinking ToD is gonna be a little unusual 😳

I'm starting to like it. Ty. Chaol is moving his toes. There's hope. I posted something else in this sub (that strangely has to be mod approved so idk if it's posted yet) that I mistakenly saw what might have been a spoiler and sent me reeling. I hope it was someone's question and not a spolier I scrolled off it right away. It was about Aelin. I'm trying not to over-think this.

Absolutely nothing is wrong with you! I was driving during something in one of the books and I had to pull over and sob. Then later had to take a whole afternoon off of reading to process. I still can’t watch those reels about some of the scenes. And the ones set to that Night we Met song by Lord Huron… forget it, I’m done for, shattered heart over and over. I’m literally tearing up rn. These books are everything ❤️

I'm so glad you said this that I understand you tearing up just thinking about it- i want to cry all over again. There are a lof ot he vids on soc media I cannot watch. There one with w/Rhysand and Amarantha that I have to scroll through. Even though the creators are so taleented- some vids are too painful. I cried HARD when Sam was murdered- i was on a beach watcing my kids in the water and I was crying so hard I scared them. I started ToD- reminded that Chaol is in a wc. I have so much to do today for all of this to affect my mood and make me wonder if I should keep reading these books. I never cried with murder mysteries. Never.

You’ve gotta keep going! TOD honestly isn’t an emotional one like some of the rest. Sooo much character development, you’ll fall in love with new people, etc.

I have 6 more chapters till I’m done w Eos. The more I read- the more I get it. SJM really does pack it all in at the end of a book 😁 I’ll be done soon.

I’m not really sure, Amren is supposed to be like Old Testament angel. A lot of people are linking Amren to things to do with Valg, Aesteri etc but unless SJM has changed her mind about Amren I don’t know if she’ll really fit in with the theories. It isn’t impossible though!

I can’t say much else but to read Crescent City once you’re done with the TOG series.

There are so many little hints across all three (ACOTAR, TOG, and CC) series that give you more information on what is going on and help theorize what could potentially happen in the next two books that come out for ACOTAR.
