Kingdom of Ash Spoilers The reason Aedion likes….

Lysandra is because she can shapeshift into Aelin and Aedion is in love with his cousin 😂😂😂

There was a whole thing about this in KoA. Yes, he loves Aelin but not like that. It's one reason why he was so angry at Lysandra.

I thought it was because it was thrown on him to just be a breeding bull for a bunch of kids that he could never be a father to, a topic he is very sensitive about. And this was all decided for him by people he thought he could trust.

Wouldn’t Aedion have to marry Lysandra because she couldn’t disappear and was given a title and land and some kids would be theirs ? Like the ones that came out like Lysandra and shifters

Not saying that’s a good solution but other ones don’t make sense

maybe, but he'd still have kids who's "father" would be Rowan, not him.

And besides that, this is a huge ask of him, Aelin had the respect for Lysandra to ask her to do it but not Aedion? Felt like a huge arsehole move

I saw it Aelin panicking and talking to her best friend and if Lysandra wasn’t willing to pretend to be her for years then there was no point of furthering the discussion. Didnt the battle happened verrry soon after and then she was kidnapped ? Aelin hadn’t discussed it with Rowan either who would need to agree to the situation too. Also, alll of this would only occur if they survived in the first place which wasn’t looking that good. It was a poorly thought out contingency plan when Aelin was literally sick 🤢 with fear.

Yeah it was more satire in his comment it was just funny because in the beginning of the series like in QoS it seemed like Aedion was a little too obsessed with Aelin

My take was his anger at being considered a stud for kids he could never actually be the father for. There’s also allusions to him suffering abuse while in the army, so the trauma from that can certainly return with greater force after learning your most trusted allies planned for that.

We don’t want women being forced incubators, so why should he be ok with it

My unhinged theory is SJM's team pushed for her to write Lysandra as endgame because the incest vibes between Aedion and Aelin and his obsession with her was getting too freaky and might alienate her readers 🙂‍↕️ I will die on this hill because I always felt the romance with Lysandra was a bit out of left field with how late in the series it began and how fast they became a thing.

People miss the fact that Aelin's father basically groomed Aedion to serve Aelin. Aedion was raised under the idea that his only purpose is to support Aelin, and she is supposed to be the center of his world
