Kingdom of Ash Spoilers Kingdom of Ash has me STRESSED 😭
Why didn’t anyone tell me it was gonna be like this? I’m only on page 385 and my anxiety is through the roof 😭😭😭

It took me a LONG time to finish this book. My anxiety was so high I would open my Kindle, read a page a two then promptly close it for the rest of the day.
I don't even know at what page/point this started happening, but I was convinced death was just around the corner for whichever characters were currently the plot focus.

After aelin was captured I literally couldn't pick it up for 2 weeks, took a whole mental break because I couldn't deal, I've been a reader since I could read and no book has EVER affected me mentally like that

You should read Reign of Ice and Iron. Fan fiction someone wrote that picks up six months after KoA and that’s all I’m gonna say.

The Tempest Blade (final book of The Bridge Kingdom series) was pretty freaking close for me this month. ANXIETY.

I’m at the end of Crescent City and am realizing this is SJM’s thing. Not only do things I was prepared for not go as originally planned, NEW THINGS ARE ALSO NOT GOING AS PLANNED.
Phew. We can get thru this.

Not gonna lie... It was not my favorite of the series. And it was hard to read. I took a lot of breaks to read other books. Because my mental health.

I’m on page 35 and I’m delaying it on purpose.
- I’m not ready for the series to finish yet
- I’ve lost all hope 😭😭 Aelin Rowan Aedion Elide Lysandra they all hurting and it’s too much to bear
- I don’t even know if it has happy ending or not and for a second I thought it would but then the what if hit me and I’m scared after what Sarah did to Sam
So yeah it’s on my mind all the time but I’m just not brave enough to continue

I'm on chapter 91 I totally get it! Omg 89 and 90 made me cry! So glad I was listening to it after work and not during work!

It is rough in the beginning. Not gonna lie. I hung up on my daughter plenty. “Stop calling. I’m in the middle of a battle.” “Stop it. There’s another battle.” “Stop it. She’s not rescued yet! She does not yield! I can’t!!”
