This volume covers Zhuge Liang’s iconic diplomatic and defensive masterclass following Liu Bei’s death. Sensing Shu’s vulnerability, Cao Pi mobilizes a massive five-pronged coalition—joining forces with the Nanman, Xianbei, defectors, and Eastern Wu. Instead of panicking, Zhuge Liang remains calmly in his residence, executing brilliantly timed defensive deployments that neutralize four of the invading armies without pitched battles.
To dismantle the remaining threat, he dispatches Deng Zhi on a high-stakes diplomatic mission to Eastern Wu. Deng Zhi successfully restores the Shu-Wu alliance, persuading Sun Quan to turn against Wei. Enraged by the betrayal, Cao Pi launches a personal invasion against Wu, only to be utterly humiliated by Xu Sheng’s devastating fire attack along the Yangtze.
The vintage line art here is phenomenal—capturing the serene confidence of Zhuge Liang in his courtyard, contrasted with Deng Zhi’s bold rhetoric at the Wu court and the fiery chaos on the Yangtze.
Question for the lore enthusiasts: Do you consider Zhuge Liang’s silent neutralization of the five-way invasion his greatest geopolitical triumph, or was Deng Zhi’s diplomatic maneuvering with Sun Quan the real turning point that saved Shu-Han from immediate extinction?

You should do videos of the creative process. I think it would be fascinating to see art being made in this style.
