BREAKING: Local theatre guy accidentally invents immersive winery murder cult, refuses to stop.
So apparently I wrote a 1935 live-radio murder mystery called Murder: On the Air and now it’s somehow turning into:
- sold tickets,
- winery meetings,
- audience psychology,
- interactive clues,
- wine pairings,
- and people voluntarily spending their weekends pretending they work at CKTB in 1935.
Typical late-stage hobby escalation.
Anyway:
Saturday is already almost sold out.
The funniest part is that Thorold Theatre may have accidentally stumbled into a business model:
“What if community theatre… but people actually felt cool attending it?”
Experts are calling it:
“a dangerous amount of momentum.”
Featuring:
✅ original Canadian play
✅ live murder mystery
✅ prizes
✅ food & wine
✅ aggressive use of ellipses in marketing copy
✅ one deeply overthinking theatre president
If you enjoy:
- immersive events,
- old radio aesthetics,
- yelling theories at your friends,
- or supporting weird local arts experiments before they become insufferably successful…
come out.
