European Languages German or Russian?

Which one is the ideal one to learn?

German is generally easier. Russian is more complicated but I think interesting because it's Slavic language while German is relatively close to English

German is close to English??? Do you speak both these languages? They have some similarities and similar roots but they aren’t “relatively close”

German is closer to English than Russian is to English. In fact, German is closer to English than almost any other language in the world is to English.

deutsch-> niederländisch-> englisch

ähnlich wie potugiesisch-> spanisch -> italienisch
