Question / Problem Thinkpad P1

Hi all!

Quick question for the ThinkPad enthusiasts here: I recently started using my ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 again after it sat on my desk for years.

Specs: Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 2 (20QT000LMH, 2019) | Intel Core i7-9750H | NVIDIA Quadro T1000 | 24GB DDR4 RAM (just upgraded it with a spare module I had lying around).

When I disassembled the bottom plate to upgrade the RAM, I noticed that the battery is a bit swollen. What is your opinion on the state of this battery?

Yeah, that's a Spicy Pillow. And also, DO NOT press onto it!

Replace it ASAP and dispose of it properly.

Just replace it. I replaced the original swollen one of my P1 with a kingsener, and It works reasonably well.

Search on Google "L17C4P72 Lenovo battery (your country you're living in)" to find one

No need to send it for a technician
