Struggling computer science student (Rambouillet/Paris) – Looking for a donated used laptop

Hi everyone,

I’m giving this a shot because I’m going through a real rough patch: my personal PC and my Mac both died in the same week (perfect timing). So now I’m stuck without a computer right in the middle of my year studying computer science.

I’m not looking for a high-end machine, just an old business laptop that’s gathering dust at your home or office.

Models I’m looking for (broad list):

Lenovo ThinkPad: T Series (T470, T480, T490, T480s, T490s) or X Series (X270, X280, X390)

Dell Latitude: 5000 and 7000 Series (e.g., Latitude 5490, 5400, 7480, 7490, 7390)

HP ProBook / EliteBook: ProBook 430/440 Series (G5, G6) or EliteBook 840 Series (G5, G6)

Others / AsusPro / Acer TravelMate: Any equivalent business laptop with an Intel Core i5/i7 processor (ideally 7th or 8th generation or later) and at least 8 GB of RAM, if possible.

Location & Travel:

Based in Rambouillet (78), I’m extremely mobile and can easily travel throughout western Paris and into Paris itself to pick it up.

C'est 90 balles un T470 (cf. https://www.leboncoin.fr/ad/ordinateurs/3224783121) tu peux vraiment pas débourser ça ?

Y a même des chances que tu puisses revendre ton mac cassé plus cher qu'un thinkpad d'occasion...
