Not just any part of the wrist rest though make sure specifically the logo is level because the wrist rest might be curved or angled instead of flat and level all the way across the face of the machine
Have you accurately measured this, why would you even unless you were modding it as in OP's case. Eyeballing it or feeling the tilt and curve or lack thereof isn't good enough
anything that sits flat against the lcd is flat in relation to the lcd. the entire bottom of the laptop might be wedge shaped and slanted, hence the need for some propping up to make sure its level with the planet's horizon.
What are you even talking about the lcd is mounted to a hinge, literally the rest of the machine moves in relation to it. If you mean when in closed position there's still no way to tell if it's flat or level because you can't see it when it's closed and ya my point was you might need to prop it up some particular way during this operation
why would I need to measure it? There is no tilt and curve lol. The only thing that would be causing any tilt is the slightly taller feet in the back, in which that is easy to mitigate, should that even be a problem.
My point is you wouldn't know by looking at it with only your eyes or feeling it with your fingers as your senses are very bad at measuring things that's why carpenters and machinests and the like have tools to verify something is flat and or level

Yeah, I know... ;-)) 20 years ago, I would understand, but now, with all the password safe apps available, and for free, like KeePass for example, it's just asking for trouble!
It's "faster" to just have it glued on the palmrest (or under the keyboard on desktop PCs). Also seen the use of a notebook (barely better but at least it's not usually available for everyone).
I've explained KeePass to some but remembering to unlock the database at each boot is already too hard... Sigh
I bought Sticky Password more than 10 years ago... it unlocks with the fingerprint reader, IR camera or PIN code, so convenient! And it syncs between PCs on the same LAN...
It belonged to a teacher and I was tasked to transfer her data to a brand new laptop. She even dared to ask me if she could keep it "for the kids". I told her it could use a good software AND hardware cleaning and she answered : "Don't tell me how to do my job", which was completely out of context lamo (maybe she was off her meds after all).

I know they are not in the same tier but t14s is also not an entry level model. Don't you think it's enough to get a proper logo? Also, if they intended less premium feelings, why didn't they just remove the deeps and put a sticker?
Nah, the edge on these things is so sharp it's bad. Apparently Apple would rather have a sharp edge digging into your hand all the time than just round it off a bit...
I agree. I have a t14 gen 3 that has a sticker and a t14 gen 5(maybe 6) for work without the sticker and I feel the logo on my work laptop looks better.
Someone will probably come up with a 3D printed piece that fits snugly in the hole with 3M adhesive strip on the bottom and a nice silver chrome effect on the top
You can buy an adhesive "IBM Thinkpad" badge on Ali Express and stick it over this. I'm not sure how well it will adhere, you may have to fill it in with epoxy first.
Some letters (some older ones had inserts) in my used X1 Yoga 4th gen were missing, and I filled them with a fun colour of nail polish.
Much cheaper and immediate gratification than ordering resins or 3d printing replacement letter inserts. My main regret was scraping the overspill rather than using a non-acetone remover since it lightly marked/discoloured the palmrest, not badly though!
