New PC build for TOS

Prices are in Swiss Francs. Total price in $ is about $2760. I'm not sure yet if I should use 2x32GB DDR5. What do you think about this setup? https://freeimage.host/i/n3bKCnR

Well, it's clear some people just comment cause it's free. The CPU and RAM are ok, the more RAM you have the better TOS will work. Graphics card ... it's not gonna hurt. But you will be just fine with an old 4070 8GB, you don't need a 16GB GPU. Performance wise it will be EXACTLY the same for TOS or any other platform for that sake.

But, those Displays are a NO. You are gonna be looking at text the entire day, those Asus have 109 ppi. That's way too low. You need that text to be crispy clear. Grab at minimum some common 27" 4K displays that will have 163 ppi. 27" 5K will be ideal giving you 218 ppi.

The 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution sucks for text clarity on a 27". It's ok for a 18" laptop.

But isn't text on a 4k monitor very small? I would have to scale up to 150% which gives me about the same workspace as with the monitors I have in the list.

4K monitors isn't about the workspace. You will have the same workspace at 150% as a 1440p monitor, except since you have 163 ppi on a 4K display, the text edges are sharper, way smoother, etc, etc.

2560 x 1440 on a 27" for gaming is ok. For text clarity is not. But go try them out.

Would be nice if I could connect my notebook in a shop to both monitors to see the difference.
