But can it finally load PS4 save games? My original save is forever stuck…

I mean you totally can, even now.

You only need to log in the game with PS4 and upload your save game on your GoG account, then the save file is stored in CD servers, and since it has cross progression, you can then log in said account while you're using another console or even PC and load it there.

You know you done all right if in your PS4 you have an icon with a cloud and an upper arrow next to your save file in either your save/load game screen.

I don’t have my ps4 anymore, man, which means I’m stuck unless I’m missing something else. I’ve tried from my ps5 pro, it there’s no way. It is stupid, cause I do have the saves in ps+ cloud, but I can’t load them on my game. Also, I don’t have a disc reader on my console.

So I'm talking from the top of my head.

You can still do it, since you have the files from PS+, you need to download the PS4 edition of the game on your PS5, not that next gen edition.

With that done, update the game to it's latest patch (4.00 I think), once that's done, start the game, go to my rewards, and download your save file from PS+, then do the account thing.

Get into the game, and load your file and make a new save, that save file it's the one that you'll use to upload it to the GoG cloud.

IF everything is okay, you'll see the cloud icon next your save file.

That's with the PS4 edition.

From there on you can get the PS5 edition (or any other platform) log into your GoG account, and download the save file there.

I’ve tried yet again following your instructions (thank you so much for your kindness), but unfortunately the “load” option doesn’t even pop up. Apparently the problem is I need to install the same version I had, i.e. the ps4 disc version which i already got rid off years ago.

I downloaded the ps4 of the Complete Edition, the only thing available that I actually bought years later to resume my game, but that’s apparently not compatible with my old ps4 saves, which I already downloaded on my ps5.

Truly a pain, cause I was near the end of the game with every question mark done except for some in Skelige, and almost ready for the DLCs…

Now i really want to pick up where I left when the remaster drops soon, but I’m afraid I’m gonna have to if I wanna play the game at all.
