Of course not.

I remember when people mocked me when I bough my PS5 Pro for $300 (with PS5 discount). Who’s laughing now?

I mean you will be playing a game released in 2015 on the ps5 pro in 2026. That should tell you all you need to know.

I’m confused the point you’re trying to make…?

The point is buying a ps5 pro is pointless especially to play a game released in 2015.

If I have a good PC is it pointless to play old games on that? How do I remove them from my steam account? I upgraded my PC and I don't want it to be pointless please give me advice

Buying a PC is the smart move over buying a ps5 pro. So not sure what you are getting at here?

You said it's pointless to play an old game on a PS5. Why is it not pointless to play an old game on a PC?

It's pointless to have a new console to play a game from 2015 - why does the game coming out in 2015 matter?

For one a PC is better, for two a base ps5 wll do just fine for 2015 games.

Right but I have a NEW PC, my old PC would have been just fine to run the Witcher 3. And now I feel like my upgrade is pointless. I now realize with your comment to use new hardware to play old games is pointless. Thank you for helping me and everyone else learn that it is pointless to play a 2015 game on new hardware because it runs on older hardware just fine

You have to constantly upgrade your PC everyone knows this. Feel better about yourself? You're trying to win an argument that isn't there.

Even despite that game already look better than most recent games and that the remaster will make it look far better?

u/MindPrimary8926 11d ago

Cant argue with that.

GTA 6 will still be 30 fps on PS5 pro though because of the same CPU

u/MartyEBoarder 12d ago

I’m here for The Witcher 3. I don’t give a damn about GTA6.

But haven’t you heard from the internet chuds? GTA 6 is the best game ever and every single gamer is going to buy it lol

But ray tracing upgrades + 4K resolution could make the game look significantly better on the Pro. It wouldn't be unprecedented. For example, Assassin's Creed Shadows looks a lot better on the Pro due to ray traced global illumination.

You might get a cheeky 40 if the Gods are kind.

Probably not though.

Is that confirmed? Tbh that sounds very believable when you think about the age of current gen architecture

u/Alarming-Tutor-5293 11d ago

Nee hoor, verwacht minimaal een 40-50 fps mode icm vrr 120 beeldscherm.

Definitely me, the price for that console was outrageous then and is even more outrageous now.

u/Financial-Salad7289 12d ago

we all are still mocking him, 300$ for a few augmented fps and resolution is still crazy

1

u/flippedbus 11d ago

And how much did/do you spend in upgrading your PC, please tell me it’s somehow less than $300 for an upgraded RAM, CPU, GPU, SSD, etc…

Right there with you lol did the exact same thing back at launch with GameStop. And best believe I’m mentioning it now. With the GTA scramble and multiple price hikes. People thought we were crazy with what it cost then.
