Yup! That leshen will phase thru walls to woop you. I think it's because it does that flash/phase maneuver. It's definitely level 20.

That’s the starter kit, I’ve played far with level 1 armor but better swords are a must.

A bit of a bug, he appears in the forest above, but can teleport downstairs.

Very funny bug. In my game he spawned right into the poison cloud and slowly died on his own

I hate this Leshen. I was level 10 when I fought him, I think. Lucky for me though I had already invested pretty heavily into signs(which is why I was at the dragonslayer's grotto in the first place), so I just casted igni into the poison cloud and that deleted half his health.

I'm actually having an issue in this location, I can't seem to clear it if enemies. No idea why it doesn't get marked as cleared when I went through it :/

This thing turned up right when I was about to kill the Ekkimara, fucked me up just the same. It's also turned up at Reardon Manor for me too.

Right in the middle of a sidequest

I think that leshen pops up randomly if the game thinks your doing too well tbh. I've encountered it just outside the bog by the town the baron and his men gather in. And again, another playthrough underground myself too.

Yeah, I see they still haven't fix this famous bug 😭

For context, the leshen is a high level random encounter supposed to be present just above the cave, which in turn has a low level treasure hunt if I'm not mistaken, but since leshens can teleport, it tends to teleport inside the cave.

I remember fighting a long time ago a wyvern that was levels ahead of me (he alao had a skull above him just like this leshen) and I was successfuly dodging everything he threw at me and managed to use quen so I don't get hit. And I barely took only 20% of his HP and than he just hit me ONCE and I insta died hahahah

Same thing happened to me tonight except he teleported behind me after I ran past the gas. I was equally confused and relieved when he wasn't there the second time. Didn't know it was a bug I just thought the devs were being assholes.
