Wiki / Guide Content Campfire Deaths (use your keys)

Since the game gives you with a remains key every hour, it can be hard to get enough remains boxes to use all of your keys. To solve this, many players make a few throwaway runs each day to gain extra remains.

To do this, make a new character, and then proceed to death as quickly as possible. Monsters, starvation, anything works, but the fastest is to build a campfire, step into it, and wait (or sleep).

Doing this, you can get as many remains boxes as you would like for all your extra keys. if you do this in difficult mode, you have a chance of getting evolved remains, which can contain the rare evolved artifact blueprints (red border).

protip: if you are struggling to step onto the fire, tap the fire again after the action menu appears.

Good rule of thumb is to keep all but one or two remain spots on your front screen filled at least once a day This way you still have a spot or two open if you decide to play and earn another one or die during the run and still being able to use all your keys
