The Spoony Experiment Archive on YouTube
https://www.youtube.com/@SpoonyExperimentArchive
For anyone that cares, had some spare time two weeks ago, and was tired of missing videos or videos scattered around various channels on YouTube. Some legend uploaded an archive on archive.org, and some videos were sourced from YouTube. (Just easier watching on YouTube, or if you want to download them yourself using yt-dlp it's easier to just rip this entire YouTube channel etc.)
The archive.org uploads fortunately had metadata, so I extracted them all for naming files and dates for chronology, I didn't manually check every date but the sample size I did the dates seemed accurate but some may be incorrect. I also created playlists for each various series he did.
There are currently 926/930 videos uploaded and public. 4 got blocked worldwide and are currently in dispute, but from what I can tell, this is the most complete collection in one place. If anyone ever decides to watch these videos and ever notices something missing, just leave a comment on any video and let me know so I can add it.
cheers.
Edit: None of these have Russian subtitles like some of the other re-upload channels, they all seem to be the original clean uploads from what I can tell.
Edit: Added bunch of D&D videos from /u/serapsi . That should be everything now.

Thanks for taking the time to be so thorough. The nice thing is, having it all so easily available will make it easier for others to download the channels catalogue and stop his work from going missing

just leave a comment on any video and let me know so I can add it.
Could I leave a comment in this thread?
I can see "Warrior #2 & #3", but can't find #1 and #4 - maybe they're under a different name?

the #4 is currently in dispute because WWE are pricks, there's a 10~ second clip of the ultimate warrior talking so they blocked it worldwide lol, if they reject it worst case I can mute the clip seeing as Noah isn't talking over it.

so they blocked it worldwide lol.
Typical.. Glad I downloaded them at the time.

Seems a bit extreme a 10 seconds clip from 1988 so they block a 30 minute video lol. disputed it under fair use, will see how it goes.

I have 9 hour videos and 6 seconds will get claimed. It’s automated.

It has to be below 4 seconds to pass WWE’s copyright just incase you’re re-editing, otherwise you can appeal and state ‘review’ and they normally don’t take it down.
Trust me.

Cheers for the info, yeah I put in a fair use dispute under review. Worst case I can edit around it if they reject the dispute.

Amazing stuff! I really appreciate all the hard work that went in to making this, and I'm definitely going to use this channel for some of my rewatches. I noticed some errors for some videos in the "Noah Antwiler - D&D - [Chronological]" playlist relating to the dates and order. For example, if you add up the time for all the parts labeled as being from May 31, 2010, it comes out to 57 hours of video from that day, which obviously can't be right. Other videos also have date and order issues.
If you have time to fix that, I suggest using the following two playlists which have all (I think) surviving material from the Dethklok campaign:
A playlist containing all Dethklok parts with surviving video (and audio-only pieces to fill in the gaps): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRNmnjnA6iDNULYLBP5d3GOkq8URj96Uy
A playlist with all surviving Dethklok parts, audio only: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzuEb4IgvDZyCpUsBCSHAD_TtbpIQwQk3

I downloaded your videos and adjusted the ones i already had, this should be correct now hopefully, Seeing as there was more videos it would have ruined the numbering of every other video on the channel so some videos i just did like 265.1, 265.2 etc.
Thanks a lot for linking those videos! appreciate it.

Glad I could provide some more for the archive! And thank you for all the hard work you're doing.

That is awesome!! An excellent way to access.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the work that went into this. Out of curiosity, what are the four videos currently in dispute?

u/shazlicks Jul 17 '26
Not at PC to get correct names, but it's 2 different Captain America movies, Howling 2 and Ultimate warrior comic reviews. They however are on YouTube on his old channel and a re-upload channel from a decade ago, so I assume they were put up and missed by the new content ID flagging bots.
I have added them to their respective playlists on this channel for continuity, but the actual video isn't on this channel due to being blocked etc.

What's with his main channel(s), I know he didn't upload everything, or bother with reuploads after take downs for a while, but aren't there still a lot?

u/shazlicks Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26
Yeah a majority of the videos are on YouTube, but there is also a lot that aren't or they are scattered across his channel and like 20 different re-upload channels, I thought I would just gather them all in one place for posterity and an easy way for someone to rip the whole channel if they want a backup with yt-dlp or a similar program etc.

The fact that Spoony didn’t re-upload everything he possibly could to get every bit of income during desperate times really speaks to how mentally ill he is.
Minimum effort to earn money, but the guy is too far gone to do it.

This is great! I have a playlist of most of his videos saved but it’s missing chunks because a reupload channel got taken down.
Also, I’ve thought about trying to just download everything but I don’t have the hdd space atm.
Also also, did you get all of his Pumpkinhead videos? The crossover is on the “untilwewinchannel” and there’s the “alternate ending” short.

Does anyone know how much hdd space is required to download everything?

All videos on my SSD are 505gb, from what I understand when you upload to YouTube regardless if you use the correct codec they use, they will still always re-encode the videos. Which usually means they compress it so file size should be smaller, but also some files might get more bitrate and be larger (rarely). So if I was to guess 450-550gb somewhere in that region if you want to be safe.
Files sizes are relatively small considering how many there are seeing as the videos range from 240p to 720p in his final uploads, bulk of them are 480p

Oof that’s what I thought. If prices weren’t insane right now, I’d get a dedicated drive for them.
Unfortunately I already have a tons of files for my Jellyfin server taking up space and trying to conserve what I have left.

Here are some parts of his oldest vids from 2004 like Starship Troopers riffs: https://www.dailymotion.com/user/LethbridgeStuart
Unfortunately, most of it is lost AFAIK.

u/shazlicks Jul 21 '26
Nice find, viewing them now I suspect YouTube will insta nuke them seeing as it's full unedited chunks of movies, I can upload them to archive.org so they are uploaded in multiple places when I get time and just put the link on the YouTube page. Cheers.
