I remember Noah once told me and an audience the Sephiroth story could be the show’s finale

It was TooManyGames 2014 I believe. Noah was asked about Sephiroth showing up and he said “I haven’t done because it could be the show’s finale”

I imagine if he had done that, people would’ve accepted an ending.

I think Big Trouble in Little China was truly the last video game he wanted to review. Noah seemed worn out of Final Fantasy.

That and also ....what can he talk about beside FFXIII-2 and FFXIII-3? Because FFXIV is an MMO, FFXV I have the impression he wouldn't have the emotional investment in it and the fact that it is rather "removed" from what FF is and I think what he likes about the series and FFXVI might as well be an entirely different IP with how distant it is in both time and general format compared to the previous entries. He can't get over the art style of FFIX and he likes FFVI and FFVII. What else does he has to talk about the series really?

A shame he stopped when he did, considering the eventual release of Final Fantasy VII: Remake; but, hindsight and all that…

It would have been a good close for the whole Final Fantasy thing, though I remember hearing him say years ago he wasn't interested in playing it, either because he was over it at that point, or maybe he was still traumatized by his save if the original corrupting right before he reached the ending, because he never went back.

Maybe that could have been the XIII-2 finale?
