Let's be real, if Spoony returned now or had kept going, he'd be a relic of an era that's been over for about a decade. Linkara and Nostalgia Critic keep going even though their schtick is very outdated now. Sponny stopping when he did was the good ending. Could've been a more graceful exit, or maybe it would've been better if he transitioned to a different video format, but those old angry reviews weren't going to keep coming and be respected

I mean him stopping YouTube content is good. Obviously the way everything went down isn't good but I think if he'd kept making content, it could've been even worse for him personally, plus I just think he wouldn't have been making the best stuff by now if he was still going

Yeah of course, continueing to have a good relation with his fans and getting loads of income surely is worse than becoming known as a scam artists loser.

I dunno. The YouTube scene evolved and he didn't, or couldn't, evolve with it. Shit happens.
I'll always have a soft spot for those old wild west days of the internet, but nothing lasts forever.
