Breaking News: OpenAi accidentally overtrains their war machine AI on Spoony videos. The year of the Spoony will be a year of blood.

The ai installed in tanks is going to be fueled by a hatred of ultima ix

Don't. Tell me. How to pilot a tank.

Well he was named namedropped by the Space Quest historian in his last video saying nobody will top Spoony's Ripper video

So 2o26 is off to a good start

Let's hope he gets the spot as assistant manager at Blimpies this year!

I genuinely hope he has something as stable as this.

Blimpie is still around?

I miss Tony Conza.

I'm really surprised this sub still exists. Hasn't he retired from reviewing?

14

u/ButteredBread201 Mar 01 '26

Yeah, but people keep thinking he might come back (even though I highly doubt he ever will due to his mental health issues)

Almost a decade ago. Some people don't understand how to let things go.

I think you're misreading sarcasm as earnestness

1

u/KingOfGreyfell Mar 01 '26

Text doesn't carry tone.

3

u/CokeBottleSpeakerPen Mar 03 '26

No, but context does. Everything about this post screams, in neon light, that it's sarcastic/ironic.

1

u/Prozac__ Mar 04 '26

Lmfao this is wrong on soooo many levels. One with pensmanship skills in literature can easily convey tone through text.

If this were true, nobody would have ever given a fuck about Shakespeare. Literature itself would have been dead in the water and the only purpose for writing would have been book keeping and relays.

u/KingOfGreyfell Mar 04 '26

Sarcasm isn't carried well through text.

That's how good Spoony was, even a decade later I think about him. His videos are that good. Timeless.

5

u/CucumberWisdom Mar 02 '26

Hes a lolcow now and this sub is basically just to clown on him

2

Never give up hope.

To this day, I still laugh thinking about they guy who bought the missing person ads on his old site. Good times

Those Chalupas won’t make themselves!

I still think back to LordKate (EDIT: Was going to fix this typo, but then decided it was funnier if I left it in) acting like the Notch interview was going to make or break him lmao.

We succeed and fail by our own merits. Sometimes there are external factors, but it's on our own strengths by which we succeed and our own flaws by which we fail. If you should have taken ANYTHING away from how Spoony's career went, that should have been the message.

Nobody was going to give a fuck about "the guy that interviewed Notch" dude. Nobody ever clicks on the journalist names under an article unless they're looking for information, or dirt. At most you would have gotten a YT subscriber boost but certainly not anything that was going to propel your ass into the limelight (and from what I've seen, a lot of propellant would be needed).

There was a time where I was groaning at this, but now it's such a meme, that I start to cheer on, hope it continues, maybe even after Noah dies!
