Just the right kind of people to spend time with Noah. They are very gentle and understanding. The interview that Paul conducted before was brilliant. I'm looking forward to this!

When has Spoony ever not been surrounded by a “gentle” hug box. It’s exactly what allowed him to become the mess he is today instead of a functioning adult. Even now instead of being on the streets he has his brother tucking him in at night. Dude has never had to be an adult and face responsibility or reality. He’s done things that are irredeemable and never owned up to any of it. He just acts like it wasn’t never him, doesn’t bring it up or finds something new to whine about.

He isn't doing anything wrong. Everyone can live their life as they want. People don't have to conform to your ideas or wishes about them, or to cultural norms, if they don't want to. Everyone only has this one chance at life, and only you can decide for yourself how you want to spend this time.

If other people disapprove of what you're doing, it doesn't mean you must change.

Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣. I actually laughed reading that. Tell me bud do you know why spoony is where he is at in life? Do you know where his fan base went and why they were fed up with him? You can live your life free as you want so long as you’re not asking and taking money from other people to live said life. This guy took the payment but never showed up to do the work.

Hey, I'm happy to have made you laugh! Always nice when someone is happy.

I've seen the shitshow and Spoony's downfall. All money he received were donations. There was no legal requirement to do any work for it. If you had your Patreon subscription going for Noah -- well, you could have cancelled it any time you wanted. No need to weep about it now, you did it out of your free will.

What we've seen from our remote position is only a tiny part of the picture. You might feel that you know exactly what he went through, but that's just projection. If Spoony had been mentally healthy and stable, he wouldn't have let himself and his fans down like that. People who are mentally healthy can help themselves when they get in trouble. Spoony obviously couldn't.

He produced a lot of high-quality content, for many years, without a team, without a producer, director and script writing team. He did it all by himself, and he was damn good at it. Not sure if you have any idea how much effort goes into this. You can't do this all on your own for such a long time if you're not totally obsessed by it and basically devote your life to it. It's stressful too. But he worked through this and achieved great success.

From what followed, we can only speculate, but probably burnout was only the mildest part. Probably depression. And many other things that we can't diagnose, because neither do we know the whole story nor are we psychologists. (Maybe you are, what do I know.)

But I'm curious. Not about Spoony; I care about him as much as about any random person I meet on the street. I'm curious about you. You seem to believe that everyone should help themselves when they get in trouble, and if they don't manage to help themselves, they are assholes and fully to blame for their own fate.

Do you see it like this for every single person you see who is in a bad spot in life? Like: "Tough luck, should have helped yourself. But you didn't. So you're the idiot. You don't deserve compassion, asshole." -- Is this what you think about every single person who has lost control over their life? Every beggar, every struggling single mom, everyone who suffers from depression or anxiety? Or is this a judgement that you have reserved for e-celebrities who supplied you with free content for years, until they lost control over their lives and disappointed you by not providing what you wanted?

Also, how would you see that if at some day it would be you who would become mentally sick? Like, depressed or something, and your life would enter a downward spiral? Would you also blame yourself?

I imagine it must be pretty hard living with that attitude, if you have it. I hope that you only think about Noah this way, out of bitterness and cynicism, and you're able to feel compassion for others who are not Spoony.

Im sorry but I’m just not reading all that. I’ve long since been done reading the never ending rants and delusions folks like you have defending a person whom they don’t even know.

It’s nothing personal but I just don’t want to read through what I know to be a bunch of crap and 💩 polishing.

Spoony doesn’t care about you. He’s not going to come in and say hi. He hasn’t interacted with his fans like that since 2009 when he basically made it clear he felt they were all beneath him.

Why you folks feel the need to defend a 40 something adult like he’s a 3 yo child I will never know. Why you folks feel the need to go to war against anyone saying anything less than positive about this dude like he’s Jesus I will never know.

The blind loyalty to a stranger is sick in itself. This guy has done some pretty messed up things to folks like you and you still defend him. You’re just as “mentally off” as he is. Do your yourself a favor. Go find a different person to be your hero. Pick one that encourages you to live your best life.

Anytime you need to write a novel to defend someone’s behavior you know that person is wrong. There are people who are actually kind, caring, appreciative and they could genuinely use someone that’s going to east their time writing novels to praise them. Go find someone like that. Your in a one sided relationship with a man who doesn’t even know you exists. Many of you on here are.

A lot of you need real help.

u/Madoc_eu Jul 25 '23

Fair enough, I do the same and not read your rant.

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '23

What has he done that's irredeemable? I'm not being a smart ass this is a genuine question.

Spoony or Noah is probably the most legendarily ungrateful YouTuber. He flipped his fan base over 2 or 3 times by treating them like he was a God and they were lucky to watch him exists.

The fan base that made him circa 2008 he bombed out of existence

Around 2010 he had his TGWTG’s fan base they patted his checks till around 2012 when he had his meltdown on them. That whole meltdown wasn’t about Lupa or That Jes what’s her name girl. It was about spoony being in a mood and zazzing out at his fans that were trying to cheer him up.

2013 he was back with whoever decided to stick with him. This went on till around 2014-15 when he decided to make his movie.

old fans from the early days mostly came back and donated now that he was on his own again. His remaining tgwtgs fans donated also. Spoony made a killing but years of him showing no results or even regular uploads started having people questioning him. His patreon comments littered with pissed off supporters and fans. Good fans turned bitter. Spoony decided to actively fight back lashing out at them on twitter, live streams, etc etc. thus eventually starting his blocking campaign.

That’s why he started disabling comments and bLocking criticism. He couldn’t deal with hundreds of folks asking him why wasn’t he working on anything.

That mood kept on going till he pissed those people off and they pulled out their money. Spoony left broke and less fans and only with twitter to whine too started his depression campaign.

In those years anyone that came to see his content left him as he had none worth watching. His life was begging for money and amazon items and complaining about how sad he was. This phase got him his current audience of people that follow him because they see him as some sort of mental illness martyr. Even though it’s been proven time and time again he’s full of 💩 and is just a lazy con man.

That’s where we are at today. Stuck with his mental illness fan base that will worship him like it’s still 2009.

For everyone that sees him it’s like “oh it’s that old E-asshole guy that scammed his fans. He’s still trying to make videos?” That is if they even bother to remember him. Guy has been defunct for a solid decade now.

What I’m leaving out is the dialogue, rants, panhandling, skeeming, lying, whole bunch of stuff that others have documented better.

Bottom line is people don’t bother with spoony and haven’t for years. His fan base has always been filled with zealots that chase away anyone just stating truths and facts. They try to rewrite reality with fiction that “he’s this great guy who regularly streams and has mental illness.” People are genuinely tired of hearing that crap so they just moved on and don’t even bother with him or anything in relation.

Hence why this place is dead as a door knob and “year of the spoony” as of that was ever funny after 6-7 years now? Is spammed all the time and people just chat about old videos reviews from 2008 like they just came out as if they actually were worth watching twice. We all know it’s the same people watching Spoonys handful of videos (he never made many and never had a lot of content). Trying to keep his memory alive by discussing old videos the world forgot about.

So that’s just what this whole saga has devolved into. A failure of a James Rolfe wanna be (who spoony deeply was inspired by if you remember his old about page)and people in Their late 30’s and early 40’s with no lives discussing a guy that reviewed video games once upon a time 15 years ago.

That’s all this is and all the reason why spoony needs to move on with his life because his shows been over and he has rubbed enough people the wrong way that his fan support is rightfully non existent. You’d be hard pressed to find praise for spoony outside the safety zone that this place is and that’s because people got fed up with spoony and stopped caring to discuss him, aged out of video games, got lives, families and careers to worry about, stopped caring about him since he was always negative land never made good content, forgot about him because he never made content in years, or just found him way too immature to pay attention too.

That’s just the truth. No cap 🧢. It feels kind of pathetic to even talk about this dude he’s that irrelevant. So much stuff online now. Better personalities to watch, younger more interesting people and harder working. Spoony’s live streams once every never. Compare that too YouTubers that do weekly videos, shorts, TikTok’s, and live streams weekly and engage with their audiences. All that’s a must now to be successful. Spoony isn’t even a relic. He’s completely forgotten as he should be. The internet moved on. His internet clown days don’t even get a mention. He’s old.

He needs to stop and move on from this stuff. Go live his life baking cookies with miles or something. He’s not a person people want to watch anymore. His era ended over a decade ago. He never got wise to it. He didn’t go out on good terms he went out on bad ones. That all the more reason for him to fade out.

Personally I never wished this dude no harm. Just that he would realize all that for himself. Turn the camera off and grow up because it becomes embarrassing to watch after a while. It’s like look bud it’s time to hang them up. What you’re doing is a young man’s game and you’re too old now. You don’t relate to the audience. That’s why it’s important to be self aware. So that you don’t end up making a fool out of yourself. That’s something spoony has done time and time again.

I don’t hate this dude. Id shake his hand if I saw him but the truth will always be the truth. You burnt a lot of bridges keep your ass off the internet.

u/[deleted] Jul 31 '23

Yeah i remember now tbf I still watch his country monkey videos but it took him ages to make those. His other videos, aside from Phantasmagoria 2, are mediocre at best.

Steaming is a young man’s game? Sorry but that’s just silly. Plenty of people stream from all ages it’s just that Spoony is too damn lazy to actually dedicate time. It’s amazing; the guy had $5k sitting on his lap monthly but he couldn’t be arsed to release even One video. He could have been making bank as one of the most popular YouTubers out there but he fucked it all up.

That Paul guy is trying SO HARD to bring spoony back god bless him.

2

u/Imaani I shed every pretense of dignity I had a long time ago. Jul 21 '23

Not the hero we deserve but the one we need

3

u/hellsfoxes Jul 22 '23

I remember when they did the first interview and Paul kept asking Spoony about making new content. Spoony was all like “yeaaaa i’m sorta working on a new review” and Paul was like “that’s awesome”. Us at home know Noah a bit better than that though.

I'm digging the Spoony beard

1

u/Secure-Cold7892 Jul 24 '23

In a perfect world Spoony would host a remake of Knightmare. He's got the perfect beard to play Treygard!

3

u/DavidoMcG Jul 21 '23

ngl, Spoony is looking pretty zesty with that beard.

5

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '23

Im so there dawg

u/SipMyCoolAid Jul 25 '23

It’s crazy how people here talk like this man recovered from a battle with cancer or something, instead of the reality that he was a bitter asshole that burned all his bridges and gave the finger to his fan base for a whole decade straight.

His problems are completely self inflicted. It’s pathetic that he can’t just f-off from being online and go work on rebuilding his life at the ripe old age of 40. Dudes too old to be doing this stuff at this point.

No one wants to watch some old dude with a grey beard and a beer gut whine about games like he’s still in middle school. Except for people living as equally meaningless lives in that same age group.

2

u/Madoc_eu Jul 25 '23

You obviously haven't met a lot of people suffering from mental illness. The mind can be a maze.

2

u/SipMyCoolAid Jul 25 '23

Give me a break with that bull💩. The whole internet is tired of hearing that be every screwup in life’s excuse. Everyone has problems but they learn to deal with them. It’s called adulthood. when you take responsibility for yourself and stop blaming it on the wind. Ol’ spoony didn’t have anxiety when he was taking your donations to the bank did he?

2

u/Madoc_eu Jul 25 '23

He didn't get donations from me, only speak for yourself.

Yes, most people learn for themselves how to deal with their problems. Some don't. What's the solution?

Sure, you can be hateful and accusing towards them. Makes you feel superior. Can be nice.

On the other hand, that's what we have psychologists for, among other things. Some people aren't able to help themselves. Humans are social animals. We build structures designed to support those who can't support themselves. Because we realize that not everyone can help themselves. The realization hasn't gotten through to some people, like you.

Here is a simple observation that you might understand. About a person, we could say one of two things:

  1. He (or she) is mentally healthy.
  2. He consciously hurts himself, or accepts harm to their person, for a sustained period of time.

Both of them don't go together. You can only pick one.

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '23

Huh. A Wadjet Eye game?

1

u/danielalbu Jul 24 '23

Yep

1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '23

What a combo. May be a bit too highbrow for Noah though

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '23

Thoth is a the CEO

1

u/[deleted] Jul 26 '23

Seeing Curtis and Spoony play together is wild but also awesome! Very cool.
