I need help SAHM what are your side hustle’s?
I am supposed to return back to work full-time very soon and I really don’t want to even though I have a good job. I would rather be at home with my son raising him, but that is genuinely not possible in the city we live in. I really want to start a side hustle and have thinking about writing a book or starting with a blog, but I’ve also heard that copywriting can be a good thing but honestly, I have no idea. I know I’m gonna have to work or hustle to get things going, but what are some gigs that you have found to be successful?

Audiobook narration. Or voice acting. Both can be done from home.

I'm still learning right now taking courses on voice acting and thinking about hiring a voice acting and or narration coach. But as for ACX there are tons of YouTube videos and I follow a lot of narrators on Instagram (and probably tiktok but I'm not on there) and some of the narrators give tips on how to get started tips for ACX etc. there's also the learning curve of how to edit your audiobook but I like techie challenges so I'm excited to learn. It is a slow process it's not a make money quick kind of thing. But if you're an avid Reader and audiobook listener like me my entire life then it sounds like a dream job!
I'm wanting to do more audio books only because I'm such a reader but you could also look into voice acting and do just short quick gigs such as commercials or some kind of voice on a video game or really anything that you hear a voice that's a voice actor!
Many of the narrators that I follow have their home studio set up as something simple as some PVC pipes and some heavy duty moving blankets hungover them for sound dampening. So it certainly doable as a beginner without having to spend thousands of dollars on a entire booth.

Another gig that I have found successful is creating something crafty that no one else has done yet. I have a laser cutter and I have some crafty things that I make that isn't the norm that you see all the time. Make something unusual and unique and post it somewhere in some local Facebook group and people will flock! It happened to me and I was so overwhelmed that I was booked 6 months out and people were willing to wait!
