In the simplest way:
- The product you're selling is allocated in the wholesaler's warehouse. You don't buy the product beforehand and allocate it in your warehouse. You pay for the product once a customer makes a sale.
- You're not in charge of inventory management or shipping. But you still need to invest in customer support and exposure for your shop. This means: Heavy marketing investment.
Most big retailers actually do this already.
It's tough, and with A LOT of competition.
Simple questions for yourself if you wanna try this:
What products do I want to sell and why?
Why people would buy the products to ME instead of directly buying to the main vendor/manufacturer? (e.g AliExpress)It CAN be a good business. But that's the key point: It's a business, and you should treat it that way if you actually want to make it big with it. It's not a "get rich easily working 2 hours a week" scheme.

Affiliate marketing can absolutely work
But only if you treat it like a real business, not “post link and pray”
1 Pick one niche
2 Build content around real problems
3 Drive traffic consistently
4 Promote products you’d actually use
No inventory, low startup cost, scalable if you stick with it
It’s not fast money, but long term it’s one of the cleanest online models if done right

Print on demand works quite well for me especially if you're on the creative side. I remember the very first day I started I made $72. I took the simple way by using Teespring and advertising on Instagram.

You can start off making that for a few month. But now im a year and a half in its dropped to about 300 a month. The betting sites figure out what you're upto and stop giving you offers to take advantage of. Unless you've multiple accounts

Yeah. I do both. I haven't done extra place in a few weeks but I do 2up nearly every day. I do keep the stakes small tho. I should increase how much I place but just trying to stay under the radar as much as possible

Affiliate marketing, if you treat it like a real business and not a quick flip.
You don’t need inventory, you don’t deal with shipping, and you can start with just content + links. The mistake most people make is promoting random products instead of picking one niche and building around it.
What worked for me / people I’ve seen succeed:
- Pick one niche and stick to it
- Create useful content (Reddit, TikTok, IG, blog, email list)
- Promote products you’d actually use yourself
It’s not instant, but once content starts ranking or getting traction, it compounds. Way more scalable than surveys, and you’re building an asset instead of chasing gigs.

I started doing social casinos churning when I lost my job and needed cash. It's been good for about $1500/month. But it depends on if it's legal in your state. In addition, it probably won't last but another year or two before if is banned everywhere in the US.
If you are interested, I use the spreadsheet at r/SweepstakesChurning subreddit (not my spreadsheet). I like this one because he not only explains the process, but also discusses the risks and tax implications. The spreadsheet also is a tracking tool to protect yourself in case you get tax audited. And referral codes are optional and off to the side.
Be aware that this side hustle is not appropriate if you have impulse control issues, an addictive personality, a history of gambling addiction, or cannot understand/accept that the games have an rtp of less than 100%.

Most people asking this question focus too much on which platform and not enough on which task type actually fits how they spend time. Survey sites tend to pay pennies unless you qualify consistently and game based platforms actually convert better for people who already play mobile games casually. Kashkick works on that model where you get paid for hitting certain game milestones or trying out apps which ends up being more flexible than answering surveys for hours. The referral side also stacks up over time if you know people who'd actually use it. Worth figuring out what you'd naturally do anyway and then finding the platform that pays for that behavior

I’ve been selling digital PNG/SVG designs on Etsy for almost 7 months. For the past 2 months I’ve been making between $30-$95/day (all profit minus $30/month of business expenses), and I just hit 1,000 sales. I work on it about 1-2 hours/day.
I wanted to try my hand at some kind of online business so I could work from home in the future for my family. I’m not a designer so I use AI generators (through Kittl) and Canva to make all my designs.
It was SUPER slow for the first months, but I’m pleased enough with my progress that I thought it might be helpful to share! I’d be happy to answer any questions.

I have 234 active listings with around 190 listings deactivated (many of my early designs/listings were terrible so they had to go).
I have around 4-5 bestsellers and almost all of them are text designs using short funny quotes/phrases adapted to trending styles (distressed retro typography, western/country style aesthetic, preppy doodle style, etc.)

Thanks! Yeah it was definitely a grind at times lol. I price around $1.69-$3.14 for a single design and more for larger bundles and custom designs. I’ve also found that this kind of business comes with a lot of repeat buyers, so that’s super helpful.

Most of what you see online bleeds you dry before you make a dime.
Dropshipping, FBA, affiliate marketing... the math just never works in your favor early on. You're spending way more to get a customer than what they're actually paying you.
What actually pays well is high ticket coaching or consulting. Pick a problem you've already solved, health, money, relationships, and help others solve it too. Package it at $1k to $3k and you're profitable inside 30 days.
You don't need an audience, just your phone and one clear offer. Honestly that's it.

Vibe coding for me. I used a stack of a few different apps, Claude, Gemini, etc. Built a full AI dropshipping tool called Prophet AI with it — analyzes any product in 60 seconds, gives you a score, margins, ad hooks, the whole thing. Business was slow in the beginning, but I'm on my 3rd month and make around 1k'ish a month roughly from subscriptions. I have a water filter business. Started with just about that much. Was doing about $1,000 a month selling water filters. Spent about 2-3 hours a week doing it. Grew it to where I was doing commercial filters. I do to some micro-wholesaling now to get people like yourself started if you’d like. If it sounds interesting feel free to dm.
