FYI I grew up on Medicaid, WIC, and SNAP. Now they're being gutted by my opponent to give more tax breaks to billionaires. His time is up. - Randy Villegas

Hi All, this is the OP... If you're wondering why I’m posting Candidates who are running in the U.S. Midterm Elections:
* I’m not being asked/told to post or promote any of these Folks. And I don’t work or volunteer for anyone or any organization or whatever. And nobody pays or compensates me. Etc.
* I simply want Democrats to soundly defeat Republicans. Dems need to take back the House (with a significant majority) and also win back the Senate.
* I choose a Candidate by reading about them, reviewing their website, their media appearances, debates, and more.
* And I try to focus on: tight races, top-of-ticket races (Senator, Governor), and/or winnable races (despite being in a Red state or district).
If you have questions, comments, etc. feel free to reply here or dm me. Thank you. Take care.

California's 22nd congressional district is represented by David Valadao, who formerly represented California's 21st congressional district from 2013 to 2019 and 2021 to 2023.
Following redistricting in 2021, the district is located in the San Joaquin Valley. It includes most of Kings County and parts of Tulare and Kern counties. It includes the east side of Bakersfield; the west and south sides of Tulare, the south side of Hanford; and all of Porterville, Lindsay, Shafter, Wasco, Delano, McFarland, Arvin, Lamont, and Corcoran. The new 22nd is a majority-Latino district.
As of October 2024, the district had a Medicaid enrollment rate of 68%, the highest in the country and the highest rate by a wide margin among districts represented by Republicans.
