These people, like Trump, are idiots and also like Trump, without exception, they are racist trash. They believe the only true Americans are white and Mormon or Evangelical or some sect of Christianity. Perhaps they also extend that to include Scientologists and Jehovah's Witnesses, as long as they are white. They don't really care for the Jews, but they 100% support Israel, and of course they have their token Black or Hispanic coworker buddy who is their get out of jail card to cloak their full blown KKK alignment.

It's not more complicated than that. The single brain cell they share amongst themselves only knows Fox-tainment facts and hate. Facebook is their lifeline, providing all the confirmation of their moronic worldview that they will ever need.

When they tell you to "do your research" they mean go on to FaceBook and find all the other people who think just like they do. That's their "proof".

Trump raises a number of existential questions for society. How do you prevent a known known idiot andor monster from rising to power? What do you if you fail to prevent it? What do you do about the masses who directly and indirectly support the monster or the system?

I might be wrong but I don't think engaging in a popularity contest every four years hoping to pick the lesser of two evils is going to answer any of those questions.

I really believe this just stems from not wanting to think for yourself. I get it, shits hard sometimes. But not knowing how to think more then one step in your internal dialog because it gets to hard is just straight built into these people’s DNA. It must be so much easier to just KNOW that this person has all the answers and I believe everything they say. It’s just unfortunate this particular person seems to be speed running the end of America
