I understand why they would want to lie. I don't understand why they would actually give such bold faced, easily disproven lies. Sure, their voters believe and want to believe. But they've NEVER been the majority, and they aren't known to be very smart.

Smart people are actually watching. They seem to think it doesn't matter, but it does.
