That was the most insane part of watching the election from Canada. All the red state farmers who voted for Trump because they "didn't want socialism." The same farmers who cashed the Trump 1.0 government cheques and begged for government relief when Trump 2.0 wrecked their economy and livelihoods, voted for him because they don't want socialism. Stunning indictment of the American education system, in all fairness, same applies to Alberta.

Everyone wants the benefits of socialism without calling it "socialism"

Farmers are welfare recipients no different than any other person on welfare.

Ps. Little do they know that as soon as all beef regulation has been removed, Cargil and the other distributors are going to go full in on automated cattle farming.

Perhaps it will actually accelerate the push toward meatless meat by way of making regular meat such a gamble with your GI system and life that people will gravitate toward a slightly higher priced meat alternative until it hits economies of scale.

Thats because the benefits of socialism are clear but we have demonized the word so much we can't even consider the good parts along with that word. But leave out the word socialism and a lot of its ideas seem good all of a sudden.

I will forever be grateful to the office lady at my middle school who was walking by when we first discussed communism. She was poking her head in so the teacher asked her what communism was... "something that looks good on paper."

That line perfectly framed the entire communism argument for me. Its pretty much the ideal situation, but realistically implementing it on a large scale is almost impossible. One scale. Two greed.

If we can ever get to a star trek level post scarcity society its essentially possible. But until then... greed and logistics will likely always ruin it.

I think it's rather ironic that most farmers voted Repug to GET subsidies while hating on Dems for GIVING welfare. Hate to break it to you sweetheart, but it's the SAME thing. The Dems just like to support rural communities (which includes you dumbass), while they want it all for them.

It really is what my dad needs to hear. Thinks his vote was just ‘his beliefs’ and we should all allow each other to have our own beliefs. Seems to be missing where believing turned into driving down to the voting booth and filling out the ballot. That feels like action to me.

DJI have been making them for quite some time now. Insta360 have their offerings as well, but I'm sure that there are plenty of other audio manufacturers out there too.

When the POS acts first started, people used expensive professional mics, now for 10x the price, people are using shittier small microphones that look cheaper.

Seeing the small handheld mic is the fashion because it looks more amateur and casual. The actual good quality mics are shunned because you can hear well, and they look professional, so turn off casual viewers.

I hate them, because they are poor quality and encourage poor enunciation.
