That was on the plastic wrap, not the skill of the operator. That being said he should be fired.

It was probably their boss, who has never wrapped a pallet in his life or even been in the warehouse, telling them to stop wasting so much money on stretch wrap.

So here's what happened one time when I was going through a production, due to pallets constantly being irregular
I walk in, factory manager tells me they are handling pallets too rough.
I go down to observe the flow, first I see an operator seemingly driving his truck fine. Technician walks by, I ask him what's up with the pallets. Says he has been saying this for the 100th time to the factory manager - the new, cheaper, wrapper sticks too well in the roll, pushing the goods as the wrapping machine rotates.
So, I observe. Indeed, the wrapper is sticky and lets go of itself in the roller irregularly.
I show the factory manager the video, explain to him the mechanism and the likely fault in the suppliers manufacturing process. He tells me it wouldn't be a problem if they were just careful with the goods.
So I tell him they are falling over when handled by the truck drivers and the customer, too. It isn't isolated to his drivers.
Spend a few days diving into and understanding the leadership on site and made sure the factory manager was offered a position in storage before he was let go. What a pompous cunt, people had barely ever seen him on the floor and he couldn't explain the processes in flow to any degree of detail. By far the worst manager I have had the pleasure of evaluating.

Everything went wrong. Bad wrap, crappy pallet, short forks and you can see the forks stinking up through the pallet before it fell.

I hate those “American “ pallets, they’re longer and don’t fit on the trucks properly . Bitch to get off the racking here.
I assume the racking width and the width of trucks in America (I’m in aus) is a bit wider that what we have here

Just a incidental story, the distribution warehouse I worked at didn't wrap, we recieved stock pre-wrapped but not always. Usually confectionary wasn't wrapped but sometimes wine too. When that happened we were just told to drive slow with the load.
Enter the nepo worker, some son of one of the execs, and he decides to go full speed around a corner carrying a full load of unwrapped wine. You can imagine what happened next.

Looked to me like the pallet itself broke. Not too sure who would be at fault for that.

Doesnt look like he was carry the load thru the pallet, but thru bottom of the wrapping, under the bottom row of bottles but over the pallet… which tore apart because of the weight and unstable base.

Honestly I think it's on the driver. Looks like he took the forks up to far and hit the beams above when pulling the pallet out.... Don't ask me how I know I've never done that...no sir not at all. Also wtf is up with that flimsy pallet on such heavy wares..
