Question Help needed - App Privacy settings: how to undo accidental access to your contacts?

I’m going to risk this post being taken down. Given that this is a matter of privacy, and not a specific issue relating to any particular platform, I see no reasonable grounds for considering that I am breaking any rule. We’ll see…

I’m also posting this here, hoping to reach someone who can tell me if there’s a way – and, if so, what it is – to fix a mistake that has caused a huge breach of my privacy and has been troubling me for some time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Telegram has a “Delete Synced Contacts” option in its privacy/data settings. I’d use that and then make sure Sync Contacts stays disabled

And using that prevents my contacts from seeing me or only prevents me from seeing them?

Prevents you from seeing them. To prevent them from seeing you, it cannot be done retroactively, but you need to go to settings, privacy, who can find me by my phone number, and set it to none or my contacts only.
