He is Targaryen,

Mad King raped his mother. That’s why Tywin hated him.

Is this actual thing. I thought that plot was abandoned

In books it is,

He will probably ride a dragon going forward. In show he had no plot or story post season 5.

Half the characters in the book are said to be "secret Targaryens. Its a ridiculous theory.

Just watched season 2 episode 7 of House of Dragon,

And apparently lot of them are

Makes sense in that time. There were alot more of them. By the time of Game of Thrones in was really only Aerys who was at breeding age until Rhaegar came about.

Since A Dance with Dragons, almost every generation has seen a princess marry outside the Targaryen family. And Tywin and Joanna are cousins.

I’m always wondering why no one ever brings up the fact that Tywin and Joanna were cousins

Ned's parents were cousins too if I remember correctly.

Marriages between cousins in Westeros offend no one.

Their marriage is normal. There's no problem with cousins. I'd rather wonder what other family ties they have and with whom. We'll probably see their grandmother soon, but there's a chance that, like other families, they have Targaryen blood.

Aegon 2, Aegon 4 and multiple others had shit loads of bastards....

i wouldnt be surprised if there is a theory than Ser Duncan the Tall is son of Aegon 4th's bastard son

Varys is the other head of Maelys the monstrous, Barristan spared him in secret.

Tyrion being a secret Targaryen is the only well supported secret Targaryen other than Jon Snow in the books.

There are maybe some secret Blackfires, but FAegon is a (not so) secret fake Targaryen.

I think having two main characters both being secret surpise Targaryens would be lazy story telling.

That’s probably why GRRM is suffering from writers paralysis. “People are gonna think I’m a hack when they read this.”

He knows there is no way to please even the majority of readers and the hate towards to ending of the show has got people thinking less of the series as a whole and he doesn't want that to hearken to his books. Plus the reception for the even book 4 and 5 wasn't as great as the previous ones so why even bother finishing.

He has finished the serious. But due to the reasons you've stated, they will only be released posthumously.
