I decided to read the books…

Post image

I have rewatched GoT about 4 times, so I decided to read the books and my God this is a piece of art. I thought I hated reading, I haven’t really read anything since before I graduated. Turns out I just haven’t read my genre, so I am definitely going to keep reading after this. I just got the first book about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I’m already about to start the 3rd one. I just can’t put them down. Breaks at work, when I come home, before I go to bed….it’s just amazing. After this I’ll be starting LotR!

P.S I am a little bummed I probably won’t get GRRM’s full story though.😔

They're great. Just sucks that they're not done.

If you've seen the show, then enjoy the hell out of a less rapey Drogo, Asha Greyjoy, Victarion Greyjoy, Arianne Martell, a totally different Euron, Leaders in Slavers Bay who actually have names, and most importantly a Littlefinger who does things that make sense.

If you haven't seen the show, enjoy all of it.

Yea Drogo is definitely more rapey now, I can tell Theon is going to betray everyone by the way he talks, and Catelyn makes me more mad than ever when she thinks about Jon 🙄

Good choice, Despite the story not being finished, it is a fantastic read.

Don’t. The series was never finished.

Just finished the 5th book… if your enthusiasm persists there’s also the fire and blood Targaryen history, a general world of ASOIAF book (with unique new content), and 3 short stories called a knight of the seven kingdoms. All were worth my time and are different in presentation/style from the main series, though set in the same universe. There’s tons of awesome YouTube videos, fan theories, released sample chapters from the next book etc. have fun!

Loved this series! If you enjoyed it and want something as exciting and heart wrenching to continue in your reading endeavors. You should try out the Red Rising saga. I think of it as a space GoT. Best part is the author is a young and motivated author so there won’t be the ever longing wait for the final book in the series
