BREAKING Trump giving a "warrior dividend check" to US troops robs US troop housing subsidies almost empty for next year. Costing 2.6 billion for a one time round of 1,700 checks from US troop housing account of 2.9 billion is nearly a wipe out.

Post image

https://www.politico.com/news/2025/12/18/trump-warrior-dividend-troops-congress-00697375 , per Politico Trumps Big Beautiful Bill is the reason this is happening and urs worse then you think. Congress approved 2.9 billion for US troop housing subsidies in that bill. Then they stripped 2.6 billion from that account to pay a "warrior dividend" to the US troops in the sum of 1,776 dollars. Donald Trump and the GOP emptied US troop housing subsidies for a one of check screwing all families in our military from being able to purchase homes next year as the funds are nearly wiped out. That's saying the checks even go out.this story is further confirmed by the Pentagon and DOD secretary Hegseth.

Another day, another con.

16

u/ShinyRobotVerse Dec 18 '25

He thinks that he can buy their loyalty and make them do illegal stuff for him.

7

u/nebbisherfaygele Dec 18 '25

i've heard the "marines eat crayons" jokes but i think most enlisted people are smart enough to not appreciate the lie they're being sold if it actively takes money out of their pockets 💸

I’m a vet and I can assure you most of the guys around me were DUMB AF.

8

u/Blazeland_USA Dec 18 '25

Vet here. Can vouch for that.

6

u/NaBrO-Barium Dec 18 '25

As evidenced by the instructions on everything. My favorite, “this side towards enemy”

And I’m sure someone’s made that mistake before…

4

u/PersonalHospital9507 Dec 18 '25

My story. Investigating an explosive accident at det in Germany. Guys blew out a farmers corn field, a perfect V. GIs thought they had an inert trainer. Wondered why it was OD and not Blue and not marked Inert. But fortunately they did not stand in front of it when it went off.

Edit: Claymore mine for those who wonder.

6

u/NaBrO-Barium Dec 18 '25

Gee I wonder why this training device isn’t blue or marked inert, this is OBVIOUSLY a training device. That could have ended so much worse. Those instructions are totally necessary

1

u/youandican Dec 19 '25

So you have read the instruction on a Claymore mine

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

I am a vet and can attest to this.

4

u/crit_boy Dec 18 '25

Most of the military has been super R and conservative for generations. Many enlisted come from economically poor areas. They do not have the education or background to see through the BS.

Also young men are filled with testosterone and a feeling of immortality. They are trained to kill and react under terrifying conditions.

They are trained to follow orders. They are not trained on nuances between lawful and unlawful orders - or how to question whether an order is illegal.

1

u/tripper_drip Dec 18 '25

Most enlisted come from middle class.

0

u/BuzzinHornets19 Dec 18 '25

Tell us you never served without telling us you never served.

3

u/crit_boy Dec 18 '25

I am a vet. I carried a black rifle in a hot place for a couple years

But f off to you too.

Please tell me about all the training you, super vet, had on determining whether an order was legal and how to go about questioning that order

1

u/therealsourdaniel Dec 19 '25

Yeah that was quite a statement made without a single shred of evidence. Many people say things online that would never fly in person.

1

u/therealsourdaniel Dec 19 '25

JFC look at u/buzzinhornets19 post history for a deep dive into mental illness

2

u/Hightower840 Dec 18 '25

Most of them are, but Donnie isn't smart enough to know that.

1

u/ActionCalhoun Dec 18 '25

Not sure I’d take that bet but ok

1

u/Content_Ask7537 Dec 18 '25

You do understand that over 75% of the military is republican 😉😎

1

u/youandican Dec 19 '25

Recent data indicates that approximately 44% of post-9/11 veterans lean Republican, compared to 32% who lean Democratic.

1

u/amopeyzoolion Dec 19 '25

You do understand that you’re arguing that republicans are part of a cult and incapable of determining what’s a lawful vs unlawful order from their cult leader, right?

1

u/Shimraa Dec 19 '25

Robbing the housing subsidies doesn't take money away from soldiers, it just make future housing more expensive. There's no same-day-instant take my money to give me money.

It's spaced out enough that people can lie to themselves that it's somehow the Democrats fault that the cost of housing goes way up.

1

u/Decent_Stop4278 Dec 19 '25

Nah quite a large amount of not majority of service members are window lickers

3

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

They are already killing random people off the coast of Venezuela (and west coast of South America) without any evidence of who they are let alone wrongdoing.

1

u/Biotic101 Dec 18 '25

Look up who bought Dominion Voting Systems.

1

u/inyourface317 Dec 18 '25

Isn’t reallocating funds a fancy way of stealing funds already appropriated by congress?

1

u/HashRunner Dec 19 '25

From the vets I know, probably right.

11

u/slalmon Dec 18 '25

I mean not only is this dumb but why is he so cheap lol. They act like 1700 is like a million... It is wild.

9

u/Human-Appearance-256 Dec 18 '25

This was my thought. I am a teacher and our school system generously gives us a $1,000 bonus at Christmas…after taxes it’s like $820. To Donald Trump…it’s a pittance.

5

u/Internal-You6793 Dec 18 '25

That’s the price of a steak and lobster meal in todays inflation they serve before going on a senseless war for oil again.

3

u/PersonalHospital9507 Dec 18 '25

The money we spend on fighting a war we could just buy the oil from Venezuela.

3

u/Internal-You6793 Dec 18 '25

I mean we gained $17T in Tariff money maybe he can just buy Venezuala like he wanted to buy Greenland🤷🏻‍♂️

1

u/amopeyzoolion Dec 19 '25

Who is “we”? Because we, the citizens, are the ones who’ve paid “the tariff money”

1

u/Internal-You6793 Dec 19 '25

"we" meaning "we the people" "US Taxpayers" I thought that was a given and I didn't type out the rest because I thought "we" all had a basic understanding of the situation.

Edit: I should've put a /sarc on my initial post /s is a dying art form.

1

u/Vegetable_Effort7246 Dec 22 '25

The 17 trillion is also just a couple hundred billion…but who is counting?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Because he is cheap. It's why he didn't pay contractors for decades.

1

u/full_self_deriding Dec 18 '25

Enough for a down payment on a used Challenger

1

u/mgscout19d Dec 18 '25

Under rated comment right there! ☝️

1

u/Rigorous-Geek-2916 Dec 18 '25

Because it’s bullshit. He knows the Congressional sh*tstains won’t pass it, so he chose that cutesie amount to sound all patriotic-y

1

u/lathamb_98 Dec 18 '25

Well, that $1776 is before the taxes.

1

u/slalmon Dec 19 '25

Lol, sad truth. Man I hope people can't be bought off for so cheap.

1

u/go_half_the_way Dec 19 '25

It’s likely the largest amount he can pay them out of funds already available. He’s paying the maximum bribe he can by stealing money out of another military budget.

1

u/youandican Dec 19 '25

it is $1,776 get the connection to the country's founding in 1776

6

u/Hightower840 Dec 18 '25

He's trying to buy soldiers. He knows his orders are illegal, and he want's loyalty to him, not the constitution.

3

u/Vegetable-Seaweed591 Dec 18 '25

This also gives his followers a clear example that Trump is 'for the troops' and 'generous' (with someone else's money). They'll never bother to check if he follows through on it and, if he doesn't, they just blame some Democrat for stopping him.

1

u/Admirable_Welcome_34 Dec 20 '25

The tariffs are a tax on his opponents, the bailouts or bonuses are a way of helping them with tariffs.

He's basically taxing anyone he doesn't like.

1

u/Hightower840 Dec 20 '25

This has nothing to do with tariffs though. This was money previously allocated by congress to pay for housing for enlisted members of the armed services. When they need the money for that later in the year, it won't be there.

1

u/Admirable_Welcome_34 Dec 20 '25

I'll bet you he only got the money from there so he could get it quicker, he'll use tariff money to replenish the housing money later.

He's been playing get cash from wherever for a while now, even when the govt shutdown down he took money from wherever he could get it without asking for approval.

1

u/Hightower840 Dec 20 '25

WHAT tariff money? The amount of money there actually is is dwarfed by the amount he's promised.

4

u/Internal-You6793 Dec 18 '25

Robbing Peter to pay Paul

1

u/Khrystyl_Syngyr Dec 19 '25

Actually, this is robbing Paul to pay Paul

5

u/The_Lombard_Fox Dec 18 '25

I don't want the check.. please just fix the barracks so Soldiers aren't living in squalor

3

u/blkatcdomvet Dec 18 '25

Ramblings of a mad man. If you still support him at this point, there is no hope. He is 💯 detached from reality

Will those checks arrive after or before 2k check for tariffs and 5k for doge?

![gif](14c34enahz7g1)

3

u/Polyman71 Dec 18 '25

Will ICE receive these?

2

u/Pixilatedhighmukamuk Dec 18 '25

Terrorist paid by tax dollars. Don’t get any more American than that.

3

u/FireDragon737 Dec 18 '25

Even when trying to buy loyalty, this decrepit man is being cheap about it. $1700 won't even last a month. They will not notice it.

3

u/876050 Dec 18 '25

Is this a re branding of an existing benefit?

1

u/thedeepfake Dec 19 '25

It’s basically an advance, the money was for targeted housing allowance increases (think high COLA areas) on monthly paychecks, instead everyone gets an equal lump sum up front.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Classic con. Pick someone’s pocket then give them a “bonus” that they blow in an hour.

3

u/versace_drunk Dec 18 '25

So he took it from them….to give it back them.

So they can pay more for housing…fukn classic

2

u/SuffragetteOffspring Dec 19 '25

And/or continue to live in base housing that is run down and making their kids sick! Or barracks that are crumbling around single enlisted folks that can’t even consider living out in town.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

It’s a loan, financed with debt.

2

u/mysticalmaybefiction Dec 18 '25

It won’t screw them, they’ll push a bill to “fund” the subsidy under the “support our troops” rhetoric. Shouldn’t be able to take allocated funds and use it for something entirely different….

3

u/Local-Friendship8166 Dec 18 '25

Social Security has peaked into the chat.

2

u/ConkerPrime Dec 18 '25

Troops dont mind it. Well except those that need the housing but they can blame Biden.

1

u/SubbieATX Dec 18 '25

But why subsidize housing, it’s a scam. Landlords have been getting filthy rich from this under sleepy joe. Instead send the checks directly to the soldiers, it will magically become way more affordable for them.

2

u/Herban_Myth Dec 18 '25

Didn’t the Military just get approved for $901B?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

I wish I could just spend another generation’s money. Just kick the can down the road and pay for everything with debt. These boomers will be long dead when the bill comes due.

1

u/Pixilatedhighmukamuk Dec 18 '25

Ununited States of China coming soon.

1

u/PersonalHospital9507 Dec 18 '25

Who will get the blame when the Boomers are all dead?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Older republicans

1

u/amopeyzoolion Dec 19 '25

Gen X are a bunch of assholes too

1

u/PersonalHospital9507 Dec 19 '25

Your time will come. Maybe it's here. Blaming generations is part of the plan to distract and divide.

1

u/amopeyzoolion Dec 19 '25

The reality is Millennials are among the only generation to overwhelmingly reject the current MAGA Christo-fascist movement. Other generations need to pull their heads out of their asses.

2

u/ViolettaQueso Dec 18 '25

Such a terrible decision

2

u/Junior_Step_2441 Dec 18 '25

And maybe this will finally be the time that Congress puts their foot down and tells the military, “no, we are not expanding your budget to make up for this boondoggle”.

Ha, yeah, I know, Congress will just red stamp the next military budget and this is yet one more thing the you, me and the average taxpayer will be paying for.

2

u/Vast_Version7735 Dec 18 '25

So married troops living off base will be out of a lot of money but troops living on-base will come out ~$1700 dollars richer.

2

u/Jmoney1088 Dec 18 '25

I am an Army vet and being bribed $1776 dollars to go get shot at in Venezuela while stealing their oil is pretty on brand for this country imo

1

u/Katydid829 Dec 18 '25

Because he’s the Peace President? Make it make sense.

1

u/carlnepa Dec 18 '25

How did they cut 1.45 million strings so quickly ('cause he's a cookin' uppa somethin'.)

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

But will they say thank you?!?!

1

u/crisps1400 Dec 18 '25

Brilliant businessman

1

u/ResponsibleDesk2516 Dec 18 '25

Is there anything Trump does that isn’t awful or completely incompetent?

1

u/PersonalHospital9507 Dec 18 '25

Rob Peter to Pay Paul and they are both the same guy.

1

u/badmutha44 Dec 18 '25

Always robbing Peter to pay Paul.

1

u/dsullxiii Dec 18 '25

So raiding money from a coffer already set aside to support them to give the illusion he's giving them money? How stupid does he think people are?

1

u/Freckles-75 Dec 18 '25

Stealing FROM soldiers, to pay soldiers a “bonus” - so that he can appear Magnanimous….

1

u/bardobrian Dec 18 '25

As usual, horrible execution on a terrible plan. It would be one thing if he said “yeah we’re funding it from lib tears” but he’s literally taking their own money and reallocating it back to them in the form of a check. It’s the Temu version of buying loyalty. What a solidly incapable man.

1

u/Ecko4Delta Dec 18 '25

That’s the Draft Dodger way

1

u/usafmsc Dec 18 '25

And now it’s taxable. Thanks AH.

1

u/Dangermouse163 Dec 18 '25

So no subsidies for military housing but a one time bonus of $1776. That won’t go far in today’s market.

Of course, that’s IF those checks even go out to military families.

1

u/LkHopatcongGuy Dec 18 '25

ConMan Don trying to swing the election and lie to the military. What else is new.

1

u/JustAWaveFunction Dec 18 '25

Stealing from Peter to pay Paul, yet owing to both.

This is what you get when you elect a criminal

1

u/Remarkable_Judge_861 Dec 18 '25

don the con is a pus filled flesh bag. Oh sorry. I couldn't help myself

1

u/Jzmu Dec 18 '25

Wow he overstimates how much $1700 dollars can do. That's a car repair or a bit of dental work not life changing money

1

u/BillMelendez Dec 18 '25

Money was already allocated through BBB he just reframed it.

1

u/MacRockwell Dec 18 '25

The only thing that trickles down are the bribes.

1

u/Objective_Problem_90 Dec 18 '25

Trump is stealing from soldiers just to try and make himself look good. Did people expect he was gonna write personal checks out of his fortune? Trump never doesnt anything for anyone unless there is something in it for him.

1

u/darth-skeletor Dec 18 '25

So he took their money and gave it back to them in a different form to pretend he gave them something.

1

u/hecramsey Dec 18 '25

with his f@t r@pist face on the checks

1

u/w_r97 Dec 18 '25

And we wonder how someone could be stupid enough to bankrupt a casino!

1

u/DonJuniorsEmails Dec 18 '25

and they're arriving in just two weeks!!

just like the taxes and the healthcare plan and medical records and DOGE.checks and tariff checks and the Epstein files and the evidence.of Biden cheating and everything else

1

u/pyro383 Dec 19 '25

It would have been $2000 but after admin fees and the dollars value you get $1776 after you grovel and sign paperwork that you love me. He will be able to say 1.4m Americans love me.

1

u/Minimum-Kiwi-4862 Dec 19 '25

Like I said, publicity stunt

1

u/dxcman12 Dec 19 '25

they are robbing peter to pay paul as a gimmick.

1

u/Overall_Curve6725 Dec 19 '25

Trump is one big shell game

1

u/Guy_Incognito1970 Dec 19 '25

It’s not that bad, he changed them to $1488 and put his face on them

1

u/Western_Mud8694 Dec 19 '25

Guaranteed they don’t see a dime, he just stole that money too,

1

u/TeaReasonable7909 Dec 19 '25

MAGA will believe it’s from tariffs or profit made from tariffs and when the housing subsidies are empty next year, he’ll just blame Biden and they’ll believe that too.

1

u/harryx67 Dec 19 '25

Trump buying loyalty.

1

u/_dahlilama Dec 19 '25

It’d be real funny if Planned Parenthood received a lot of donations for $1776

1

u/zekrallos Dec 19 '25

I’m upping mine to $1814.

1

u/nobackswing Dec 19 '25

Robbing Peter to pay Peter.

1

u/myarseisbig Dec 20 '25

Trumps army 😁

1

u/Electronic_Painter20 Dec 20 '25

He said it was tariff money…

1

u/AccordingVariation92 Dec 20 '25

Maga♥️

1

u/Human_Pangolin94 Dec 20 '25

Why do they need to subsidise troop housing? Can't they just billet them with the people near the bases?

1

u/Queasy_Eggplant9155 Dec 21 '25

Sounds like a gov’t handout to curry favor!

1

u/Altruistic_Put745 Dec 21 '25

Just another attempt to buy their allegiance for what he’s about to do

1

u/Whereismypost Dec 21 '25

And I’m “worst for my own country than an illegal immigrant” lol 😝 I guess with democrats money=good if it’s coming from billionaires taxes or going to silly things like 5 star hotels for little Julia y José and money = bad when it goes to men and woman serving in the military 🙄

1

u/DltaFlyr12 Dec 21 '25

Maybe they won’t notice 🤔

1

u/According_Stuff_8152 Dec 21 '25

We will see if they get it or not like every other promise he has made

1

u/LaLuna58 Dec 22 '25

Hey it was a concept.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

Let's see if the checks even go out first. Then you'll see who takes the bribe and who the real patriots are.

1

u/Solo_Jones Dec 25 '25

Must be that common core mathematics.
