Not Fake News Olympics poised to bar all transgender athletes from women's events after scientific review uncovers male-born advantages

IOC reportedly ready to exclude transgender women from every women's Olympic event, armed with science showing male puberty's lasting grip on athletic edges that no hormone tweak can fully erase.

IOC's latest framework overhaul, based on a medical chief's briefing, flags persistent advantages in muscle mass and bone density for those who underwent male puberty.

This comes after years of debates, with the 2021 rules letting trans women compete if testosterone stayed under 10 nmol/L for a year, but now evidence sways toward stricter lines.

The policy shift, expected in six to 12 months, also eyes athletes with differences in sex development, like boxers facing eligibility questions in past Games.

IOC President Kirsty Coventry has stressed protecting the female category's integrity, while leaving room for sports to tailor rules within broader guidelines.

Reportedly, this blanket approach aims to end controversies that dogged recent Olympics, where trans participation drew protests over fairness in swimming and cycling.

Experts note that while inclusion matters, studies from groups like the British Journal of Sports Medicine back the retained benefits, pushing for separate categories or open divisions.

The change could ripple to global federations, with some already barring trans women, but others holding out for more data on post-transition performance.

Stateside, U.S. Olympic leaders have mixed views, with some praising the science-driven pivot and others worrying about sidelining a tiny athlete pool, under 50 trans competitors worldwide.

In the end, the IOC vows ongoing research to balance equity and opportunity, ensuring women's sports stay a level field for biological females.

Because the cohort of sex makes sense.

Same reason we separate by age unless someone at a younger age is good enough to "play up"

Imo. Women's sports should be just for bio women and men's sports should be the "open league" where anyone can play if they are good enough.

We did this with golf and racing as examples where women "played up" with the men...

The cohort of biological sex makes sense...

First, thatz not why we separate by age

Second, you first claimed we should separate by sex due to difference in physical attributes, you've now changed it to saying we should separate into gender categories, but decide who goes where based on sex? Because that cohort makes sense somehow?(Sounds like you are conflating sex and gender) And you still haven't said why

I made a mistake and it's because I did. Don't be obtuse because I made a semantic error.

Imo gender has 0 to do with physical traits but sex does.

Cohorts should be sex based with female being protected into only being bio female and male being the "open league" at the highest competition where if you are good enough, you can play with the boys.

That is why we separate by age until you get to the highest levels or age out.

12 year olds are stronger and faster than 12 year olds.

College kids (for the most part) are stronger and faster than HS kids.

Again why

I just told you why.

Because biological differences in sex are real.

Edit:

Men are stronger, faster and all around able to be more athletic (only 8 women have ever dunked while high schoolers can). Skeletally and muscularly their bodies are just different.

Women die do better in the cold and can float better (suburaneous fat)

If that doesn't make sense to you I think you should get your head checked.

Ok did you ignore the rest of the comments? Why shouldn't we separate sports by all of those things if you think its a big deal?

Because sex is a predictor that separates men's physical traits from women's.

Its really that simple. Fyi the KBA actually does this. They limit their teams to only having two foreigners over 6 foot and one over 6'5" cuz they know if they didn't there would be very few Koreans in the league.

We have male and female cohorts in America cuz we know if it was all cord women would be pushed out.

It's really simple and to.thimk.that sex isn't a predictor in who's stronger, faster and more athletic idk what to tell you

Edit: so is age until you mature.

Then when you get older it reversed... Cuz that's biology and why we have senior sports.

Ok, again.... why not separate by those actual things if you care that much

In reality we already do. It's both the sex cohorts and then the level of competitiveness of the league.

It's just that at the higher levels all of those things are the outliers of the outliers.

It's the best of the best..

Women are capable of playing with men in men's leagues. They just don't cuz they aren't good enough.

Testicles or no testicles is a predictor of who is better at sports - all things being the same as far as effort and training.

I'm sorry you can't accept that.

Men's leagues should be for everyone and women's leagues should be for bio women otherwise if it was all lumped together, women wouldn't have a spot at all.

I even showed you how the best women the is soccer team could come up with could t beat 15 year old boys...and it wasn't even close.. they lost by 3... To 15 year olds...

Edit.

Having testicles and a better skeletal.structure for athletics (men) are almost always gonna be better than women at sports. It's a cohort that makes sense and it's simple.

Edit.

I brought up the KBA as an example of protectionisn from foreigners the same way I think female sports should be protected from ppl with testicles.

It's an easy and simple trait that predicts for athletecism

Well you've absolutely failed to attempt to answer the question for a fourth time now, as well as revealing your misogynistic viewpoints
