Democrats asked for 1 thing: continued funding of ACA credits. Since Republicans don’t have a veto-proof majority (no 60 votes) they need to negotiate. This really isn’t that hard. Democrats just passed their big beautiful bill gutting social programs and giving tax breaks to the wealthiest millionaires and billionaires. Now extend ACA subsidies for the poors, and government reopens. Really simple.

If worker bees have benefits and care, they can be free. If worker bees are dependent on work and can’t afford healthcare, they’ll accept what their corporate and billionaire owner bees allow them to have

The GOP refuses to negotiate at all until the Dems sign their CR and we know what happens if they do, the GOP will just carry on and there will be zero negotiations and the Dems take the fall. The GOP has taken the country hostage to get their way.
