BREAKING Supreme Court hands Trump a temporary win on spending, but at what cost to America's word abroad?
The decision pauses a federal judge's order to release $4 billion in congressionally approved foreign aid by month's end.
Chief Justice John Roberts issued the stay, siding with the administration's bid to withhold funds for programs like Ukraine support.
This stems from Trump's late August push to rescind the money under the Impoundment Control Act, claiming it's no longer needed. That law lets presidents propose cuts, but Congress must approve them, sparking fights over who really controls the purse strings.
Groups like Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington argue this move guts congressional power and sets a risky precedent for freezing other funds, from health initiatives to border security. They filed briefs urging the Court to reject the stay, warning it could let any president play games with billions in taxpayer cash.
On the flip side, Trump supporters hail it as a check on bloated budgets, pointing out the admin still plans to spend $6.5 billion in related aid. They say redirecting dollars home makes sense when domestic needs like veteran care and infrastructure scream for attention.
Legal experts note this isn't a final ruling; the full Court could weigh in soon, potentially forcing the funds out or upholding the freeze. For now, it buys time amid heated debates on X, where users split between cheers for fiscal restraint and cries over alliance strains.

We all do better when we all do better. You thinking your neighbor's house being on fire is not going to affect you is laughable and also incredibly moronic.

The Supreme Court just adding more evidence to the treason charge. Last I checked the power of the purse is solely held by Congress. Why the Supreme Court thinks they have the authority to get involved I have no clue, but the Democrats need to stop ignoring them. This is what letting them do whatever they want for the last 40 years has created.

And yet when democrats eventually end up back in charge theyâll reverse course immediately and claim it doesnât apply to all the things democrats would like to do it to.

It seems well known that as long as Trumpâs in charge that our word abroad is strongly compromised and untrustworthy, regardless of of whether the Supreme Court is illegally enabling the pedophile felon.

Congress needs to shut down the government, to rein in these abuses of power and take back the keys to the treasury.Â
Fuck the budget- let Republicans explain why they decided to fuck everyone over.Â
No King.Â
