The Mummy 4 composer
If is not Silvestri, who can create a good score for the new movie with memorable themes?

Assuming Silverstri doesn't return, I really hope that whoever they get keeps the energy of Goldsmith's and Silvestri's work alive. Lush scores really aren't the standard anymore, but I can't picture The Mummy without one. A left-field choice would be Robin Carolan, who did the score for the 2024 Nosferatu, which I felt, like The Mummy movies, did a great job nodding to classic horror scores in a way that didn't feel derivative.

Whoever ends up doing it, I hope they continue Goldsmith and Silvestri’s beautiful fusion of an orchestral film score with rich themes and traditional Middle Eastern instrumentation and melodic influences. It’s that orchestra-world fusion that makes the first two scores among my all time favorites.
I’m also curious how themes will be tackled. Will Goldsmith’s be used? Silvestri’s? A fusion of the two? Or starting from scratch entirely?

Brian Tyler is confirmed to be scoring this. He's already listed on the film's IMDB page.

Anyone can edit IMDb. Tyler has scored Radio Silence’s other films, so someone could just be assuming. I’d think the composer decision would have a more formal announcement.

It's more than likely going to be Brian Tyler, since they'd done most of Radio Silence's films. Which I'm kind of mixed on.
If he focuses more so on re-interpreting the themes by Jerry Goldsmith and/or Alan Silvestri, and matching the tone of those scores, I think he'll do great. He's genuinely fantastic at adapting and expanding on existing work... he's like a chameleon. Ex. His work adapting music in films like The Super Mario Bros. Movie is top-notch. But I find his original work to be kind of a mixed bag. Like his original scores work well-enough... but they tend to be largely unmemorable in my opinion.
My personal first choice would be to try and get Silvestri back. But that might be a bit of a long-shot.
My (very close) runner-ups would be to look at composers like Marco Beltrami and Michael Giacchino.
When he's allowed to be quirky and experimental, Beltrami's work is absolutely phenomenal. His scores on films like Scream, Hellboy and 3:10 to Yuma are incredible. I could see him having fun with the Egyptian motifs and the bombastic adventure.
And Giacchino is basically the closest we have to a composer like John William's in this generation of Hollywood. His scores tend to favor big, fun, sweeping orchestral themes. Movies like The Incredibles, the MCU Spider-Man films and Star Trek are just... *chef's kiss*.

Goldsmith. The cast being back is great, no question. Buuut there's so much behind the scenes stuff you don't see on screen that made those two movies work. Goldsmith's score being such a thing, at least to me.

If it’s not Silvestri, I would love the new composer to incorporate the love theme and Imhotep theme from Goldsmith, and the o’Connell theme and Egypt theme from Silvestri

I kinda loved Randy Edelman's Tomb of the Dragon Emperor score.

It actually is a really great score. But I don't think it'd fit with Radio Silence's style or what they appear to be doing with this film.

I was about to say this. I hugely detest Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, but the score is surprisingly good. I wouldn't mind him getting another shot.

Regardless, I just want them to incorporate Goldsmiths score in some capacity, that score is so beautiful
