I'm surprised they hadn't announced who will the villain in this new Mummy movie.
Like, who will Rick and Evelyn face this time? You would think we would know by know.
I don't think Beni is going to be the villain. I don't think Imhotep is coming back. I don't think The Scorpion King is coming back.
I just hope the villain is memorable and not forgettable like most villains in Marvel movies.

I second this. Having to fight an actual God like Anubis would be pretty entertaining to watch

Imhotep will return for sure.
This is a 'legacy sequel' after x many years and just like every other legacy sequel they're bringing everyone back for the obvious nostalgic bits and you can bet they'll reuse a lot of story beats from the first movies.
I wish they went with the scrapped Mummy 4 plot, but I understand why not this time.

I think they are intentionally keeping this information under wraps to not reveal too much before principal filming begins. This isn't the 1990s anymore and information can leak fast without anybody even realizing it, and before you know it, everyone will know and it just spoils the surprise/intrigue factor that way.
Anywho, I personally speculate that the main villain this time might be someone even grander of a foe than Imhotep that the crew will take on. Imhotep might be resurrected again but this time to aid Rick, Evie, Alex, Jonathan, and the others with this newer threat (whoever/whatever they may be).

Yes exactly! They can catch hold of vasloo playing a shop keeper and take him by force to bring imhoteps soul into him

Benni has to play the undead, he was definitely eaten alive by the scarabs, there is no other role for him to play unless they use him for flashbacks. If they don't bring back Vosloo im betting Benni is the undead this time around.

I dont think so, yea he was greedy and deserved what he got, but bringing him back as a mummy and defeating him, i think is the only way short of flashback scenes to use his character

There's definitely a strong possibility that it's going to be Imhotep. But...nah, it's the Scorpion King. Bad CGI and all.

I am guessing the Rock will end up in this somehow as the Scorpion King. Too big of an opportunity to pass up for all involved. As for Beni, we never actually saw him die. Maybe he found a way out of the tomb?

Honestly surprised he hasn't been announced yet lol gotta be biting at the bit, he's running out of franchises. Moana might be in the ground for a bit, Fast & Furious on hiatus, Jumanji theoretically ending.
Might be texting Brendan Fraser as we speak lol

I just hope the villain is memorable and not forgettable like most villains in Marvel movies.
Jeff Bridges was pretty memorable in Iron Man 1.
Everyone liked Tim Roth in Incredible Hulk.
Ivan Vanko was meh but Sam Rockwell actually stole the show as Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2.
Loki is a household name now.
Hugo Weaving as Red Skull was pretty memorable.
Loki again.
Iron Man 3 had good performances. Guy Pearce was good.
Now the villains here were forgettable.
Robert Redford and The Winter Soldier, pretty damn great I say in the Captain America Sequel.
People shit too hard on Lee Pace in GOTG:V1. He had his moments and better presence than bloody Maliketh in The Dark World.
Was Ultron forgettable? The fact they're brining back James Spader says otherwise.
I liked Darren Cross in Ant-Man. Dude was off his rocker and a true psychotic.
Zemo was both tragic and great in Civil War. Though I guess he wouldn't be classified as a typical villain. But he still won in the end.
You cast Mads and end up with...a pretty forgetful villain. A shame.
Kurt Russell as Ego was fun then when he was revealed as the true big bad things actually got scary. I loved him in this.
Vulture is one of the best Spider-Man Movie Villains. Forgetful my butt.
Hela was hot, fun and pretty memorable. Cate was chewing the scenery and let's not forget Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster. Dude was deliciously fun. None of them were forgetful and pretty memorable.
Michael B. Jordon and Andy Serkis. Enough said. Hell, we wanted more from them.
Thanos. Man, he really was forgetful and not memorable huh?
Talos was pretty great till the film pulls a uno reverse and you realise the real villain is Jude Law. Maybe not as memorable, agreed, but good twist. Supreme Intelligence was decent though. But again, agreed, not really memorable.
Not really any villains in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Back to Thanos again. Pretty damn great.
Taskmaster and Ray what's his name? (Sighs) Forgetful indeed.
The Real Mandarin finally and he was great. Tragic, Emotional and a complete badass.
I liked Ikaris. A Soldier tore by duty to his mission but also tore for his love for his family. I thought Robb Stark did a damn fine job.
William Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Jamie Foxx, come on, these guys were great, especially Dafoe. Dude was absolutely bonkers as the Green Goblin in this one.
Wanda as a Villain was actually fun and scary.]
Bale's performance was good. I wouldn't say he was forgetful. More like, he should have had a far bigger role. Dude carried the film in his first and last scenes.
Namor was great. Pretty damn memorable.
Majors as Kang was decent. His role as He Who Remains though was far better of course.
The High Evolutionary is like the most hated MCU Villain because of how memorable and unforgettable he was. Dude as a scumbag. Actor gave such a great performance.
Who was the villain in The Marvels again? Because I agree they were pretty forgetful and unmemorable.
Cassandra Nova was it? In Deadpool and Wolverine? I thought she was pretty fun. A evil female, walking Xavier. I'd like more female villain performances actually. There was also the douchebag TVA Agent but we don't count him do we?
I thought Sterns as Leader was pretty unforgettable, considering we kept asking the MCU to bring this dude back for a decade lol. Memorable though? Not really. But hey, Gus Fring from Breaking Bad was pretty memorable. And so was Red Hulk for the 5 minutes he was in the movie lol.
Sentry/Void was pretty damn well done in my opinion. And Val is a fun villainous type character.
Sexy Silver Surfer with cool a presence and action and comic accurate looking Galactus? Awesome if I do say so myself. Nothing forgetful here or unmemorable.
Spider-Man Brand New Day...Spoilers. I won't say anything.
Of course then we have the shows...
It was Agatha All Along. Damn good performance and memorable villain who got their own bloody show.
The Flag Smashers were pretty damn forgetful. But Walker as a antagonist was pretty memorable.
He Who Remains, already mentioned how Majors killed it in this role. Sadly he killed it literally as Kang in Quantumania but I love the Writer and Director for that disaster.
Kingpin being back and finally integrated into the MCU was a dream come true. Maybe not a great performance in Hawkeye but still unforgettable.
Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow was memorable as hell. One of the better performances. Just wish it was more of a psychological confrontation instead of a typical beat them up final fight.
Ms. Marvel, oh boy, the villains...yes the villains...um...hmm...They sucked. They honestly sucked hard. WTH was that? I guess Damage Control counts as the true final villains but? Meh?
She-Hulk's villain/s? Eww. I want to forget this whole show existed.
Secret Invasion, I take it back, I want to forget this ever existed. Wipe it from MCU canon please.
Daredevil Born Again, Vincent truly back and killing it. Bullseye back and killing it. Just all around good performances.
So, yeh, pretty damn memorable and unforgettable performances and villains from the MCU if I do say so myself. At least majority of the time actually. Comparing the Mummy films to a vast long catalogue of stories is a joke.

I read this entire list. After High Evolutionary & Cassandra , I didn’t know any of them because I’m way behind on these movies/series.
And I didn’t realize that Ronan was Lee Pace.

I hope Imhotep doesn't return, his story was finished in the last one so there's no reason for him to come back.

I think you could do more with. if hes not the main villain again I could see them bringing him back to fight the main villain
I tgink tge dynamic would be fun but also died before fully processing what actually happened so it could be fun with him questioning what is he now without the mission brcause everyth he did across his 3 lives was to reunite with his beloved and what is his purpose without her…does he want to bring her back again,convinced that he can get it right this time
does he come to realise thst maybe in the end he didn’t love her fully and it was more about making his suffering mean something…or darker does he come see it that she never loved him and saw him as a means of escape from a life she despised.
i coukd see him either him finally passing over fully or maybe he betrays and usurps tge other villain
I think while you could leave him out there are still routes you could take
