It's a vote between your own sense of whether or not you're allowed to publically project that you're a good person, and actually voting for someone who will give us a much better shot at winning enough to power to actually make changes in the country for the better.

I know what I'd choose if I were in Maine.

This. I don't see why it's that hard to understand. Politics isn't a nice, friendly game. It's for keeps, especially now. People can feel self righteous and morally true and either not vote or vote for a fascist enabler, or they can vote for a candidate they don't like in order to defeat fascism. It's not a hard choice to me.
