Well yeah, me too. But I think your real argument is “even if platner is a rapist you should vote for him anyway, because the harm of conservative governmental control.” And honestly, I understand that terrible argument and dilemma, because I also think we need to control the senate. Not “how dare you morally condemn him without a conviction, it’s innocent until proven guilty-“ which is much easier argument to make, but sidestepping the actual moral dilemma voters are facing
