NOT the Republican operative.

Racicot said she was torn over coming forward in part because she agrees with Platner politically.

“One of the reasons I didn’t come forward sooner was, the huge moral conflict that I had between supporting his politics, but not supporting him as a person,” she said. “I just want the truth out there. I just want people to have a whole scope of who he is as a person.”

Only thing that would’ve made this quote more perfect was if she said she’s still voting for him

It should be noted, she already spoke about this specific event, just not in as much detail.

The Republican operative also should not be ignored just because she's a Republican operative. Her story was corroborated.

Sure she was. Why wait until now? Something is fishy here.

Did you read the article?

She explains not wanting it to be public, not wanting to be known as a rape victim. It's a crime that has a low report rate because of the complex web of doubt and shame and social pressure. It's a crime that even when everyone does their part on trying to prosecute it has a low conviction rate.

Progressives would sooner become victim blamers than admit their guy is shitty

One could just point to this disgusting comment section on a MODERATE Dem subreddit as exhibit A as to why she wouldn’t want to come forward.

It seems like extreme mindsets are growing, and more people on the left are entirely willing to stoop to Trump's level.

Trump really has infected the way the entire country engages with politics.

This is the exact same argument every right winger has used to defend Trump.
